How early can we check in?

We'll be arriving at AKV on Sunday, Dec 30. We'd like to check in early, get our room cards (with DDP credits on them) and head over to MK for the day. I know that the room won't be ready until after 4, but I was wondering how early we can check in. I anticipate MK to be very busy on Sunday and they will be opening at 7 am for Extra Magic Hours so we'd like to get over there as early as possible after checking in.

I believe I checked in at about 7:30 am last NYE. We got our room keys and returned our rental car to the Dolphin and headed to the MK. I think you will be able to do what you suggest.

We checked in to SSR this morning at 7:30. We didn't get our requested view but we got our requested building and the room was ready. Made it much easier transferring from BCV.

I checked in at 6:30 am last summer...no problem!

If you don't have really specific requests, you can usually check in really early. We went to BWV in late July and got there around 7:15 AM. We got our room immediately. We went up, settled in and came down about 8:30 to go to Magic Kingdom. When we arrived at 7:15, we were practically the only people in the lobby. We were amazed when we went back down...at least 50 - 75 people were waiting in line! If you can get there early enough, you may be able to check in right away.

BTW, can't help but saying...what a BEAUTIFUL family!

You can officially check in as early as 7 am. I have seen posts of individuals successfully checking in around 6am.

Oh you are so lucky to be heading to AKV!

We just got back yesterday from a 7 day trip there.
We were given a terrific room, better than I thought we'd get.

The pool was great (although I didn't swim, but DH & DS did).
DD & I used the hot tubs often.

We had a great time & except for a few mousekeeping glitches, our room was perfect. Hope you have a great trip!
