How does the last day/checking out with DDP work?

I've booked Chef Mickeys for our last morning at WDW. I was planning on checking out and then going to Chef Mickey's to eat breakfast with the family and then head out to the airport. I'm now wondering how that works with the DDP....if we check out does that end our plan? Should I be planning on trying to eat at Chef Mickeys and then run back to POFQ to check out so we can use our DDP or just plan on paying ourselves?

Your DDP credits don't expire until midnight of the day you check out, so you can check out of your hotel and then go do breakfast (or anyplace else on the DDP plan you want to eat at) without any problems as long as you have saved up enough credits to use for that meal. Remember your credits are based on the nights you stay, so you won't have credits for the day you check out and will have to "save" some to be able to use them for check out day - the last time we used the plan, my DH & I still had lots of snack credits leftover, so after we checked out of the BWI we ran over to the Boardwalk Sweets shop and spent them up on peanut butter fudge for the ride home! Yum!

I was planning out our meals and was planning on making sure we saved some for Chef Mickey's but didn't want to save them if they wouldn't count that morning. Thanks again!!!!!
