I know the name of the discount should be self-explanatory, but how exactly does the deal work...free park tix? Cheaper room rates?

Thanks for shedding some light. I was just looking over the list of deals offered over the past few years.

Basically only free tickets; there is no additional cost for kids in the room anyways. "Kids play free" doesn't have quite of good of a ring to it, even though technically that's all it is. I believe the # of kids that play free are limited to the number of adult tickets purchased. Also, the tickets are base tickets (i.e. not hoppers).

Nope, we did 2 rooms with 1A/3C in each room (2A/6C total) and got 6 free kids tix for my kids and my sister's kids in May. We also got a third room for the remaining adults. Due to a few circumstances, multiple Disney CMs had to look at our ressie and none said that we weren't able to do that.

To OP, some years had "kids stay, play and eat free" where QSDP was included for the kids for free. You then had to pay to upgrade to DDP.

Thanks for the replies. We're hoping to go for five days and we have four kids. We are fairly flexible with travel dates (as long as we have the money saved, ha!) so it would be nice if this deal popped up again. Free tickets for the kids would probably save us close to $1000. Major game changer.

I booked under the kids stay, play, and dine free discount offered to Disney visa holders last year. My 2 boys and I met my sister down there. During last year's offering, you could have 3 free kids per 1 adult. Needless to stay it was a great deal for us. Cheapest Disney trip ever. With that said, if my husband had come with us than free dining would have been about the same....maybe the kids deal would win out by a few $. But with 2 adults and 4 kids, that would probably be a good deal....especially if they include the free food for the kids! Good luck.

This last May (2011) we booked part of our trip under the Kids stay/play free. Our trip was at Pop. We had a 5night package with DxDDp and 8 day park hoppers. Then we switched to a Room only for 4nights. We used the Kids stay/play free on the package portion. We got DD8's 8 day park hopper free. Then we used the room discount for the room only portion of our trip.

Hope that helps!!
Terri
