How does a split stay work with a package?

We are going in August for free dining (booked on a bounceback). We have a MYW package including tickets, and we're staying at POFQ. We are staying 9 nights, so the tickets and dining are for 10 days (I think).

We have been considering (at my 7 YO's request) splitting our stay between POFQ and a second resort (maybe the Boardwalk), but I'm not sure if this is actually possible.

If we split a stay between 2 hotels, will we still be able to use the free dining offer at both hotels? How about our park tickets? My concern is that we'd have to split it onto two separate packages, and we'd end up paying a much higher price for our park tickets (since the first day of the ticket package is the most expensive).

I wondered if there was a way to just get the 10-day park tickets with my first hotel, but I don't then think I could still use the bounceback on the second hotel, since that code must be used with a ticket and hotel package.

Does this question make any sense? Is what I want to do possible?

It's two separate reservations and if you want the full package on both, you must purchase tickets for each stay. Dining would expire for the first stay at midnight of the day you checked out.

There could be a way but it may depend on not only the terms of your bounceback offer but also as to whether Disney would be willing to do it. Was there a minimum number of nights stay required for the bounceback offer? If it was for a minimum 5-night stay, then 9 nights won't work as one of the stays would only be for 4 nights. When is/was the final "book by" date? If that date's long gone, Disney may not let you move the offer to another resort. They may but they may not.

IF it works out that you can book two different resorts & keep your bounceback offer, what you could do is: get whatever number of days tickets you will need for your entire stay with your first resort package. The tickets will be good for 14 days and so would still be good to use during your second resort package. Your dining credits from that first resort would expire on midnight of the day you would switch resorts so be sure to use them all up. For your second stay, you would need to buy tickets to get the free dining. If you bought one-day tickets and didn't use them, you could save them for your next trip. Remember the tickets will never expire until 14 days after you first use it. You could even add days to the ticket for your next trip or even upgrade it to an AP.

Also:

We are staying 9 nights, so the tickets and dining are for 10 days (I think).

The dining is per night and nothing to do with the number of days on your tickets.

Here is what you need to buy to do a split stay with free dining:

Stay at POFQ for 7 nights :
room + 10 day tickets + free dining for 7 nights

Stay at Boardwalk for 3 nights:
room + 1 day tickets + free dining for 3 nights

You can use your 10 day ticket for the entire stay..but...
The problem with this is that because you have to pay rack rate at the Boardwalk and buy another set of 1 day tickets for everyone in your party to qualify for the additional 3 nights of Free Dining, it will probably cancel out the savings of those 3 nights of Free Dining.

Thanks everyone . . . I figured it wouldn't work, but I didn't want to be overlooking something!

You guys are right -- I could save the tickets from the second package, but that would essentially cancel out the free dining for those days. And more than likely I'd be going back on the same deal next year, so I wouldn't even have an opportunity to use the tickets on a future trip!
