How Does a 2 YO Get a FP+???

My niece, who will be one week shy of 3 when we travel, has a MB assigned to her. Since she is under 3, she does not need a park ticket. When I looked at MDE (practicing for when it is actually time to book our FP+), it indicates that she needs a ticket assigned to her in order to book a FP+. She is listed in MDE as an "infant" so Disney knows she is under 3. We want to try for A&E, Peter Pan and TSMM, among others, and I always assumed that she would need a FP+ to get through the line.

In the days of legacy Fastpass they didn't need one; my guess is they don't need one.

I went with two 2yos in October and they just let them through at all our FP+. My boys tried to scan their bands every.single.time trying to be like the rest of us and they never got the happy Mickey, so the CMs always waved us through.
