How do you write/read dates?

Over here it's day/month/year.

I know that in some European countries at least it's usually month/day/year.

What about were you are?

It's Month. Day, Year, in the US, but Day, Month, Year makes more sense. Really, Year, Month, Day makes the MOST sense, but as long as they go in order of size of the time span. I name files with YYYYMMDD appended when I need the date. It's the least ambiguous and sorts properly too.
