How do you save while on vacation?

2 weeks before you go, you can sign up at Denny's for a 20% off any meal coupon, as well, Mimi's Cafe has a great email program, we get great discounts from them all the time. Entertainment Book also has coupons you can print (if you have purchased an Entertainment Book) up to 2 weeks before you go, such as, Tony Roma's, Rainforest Cafe, etc.

I have a completely different take on this.
I save all year long so that when we go, we can do what we want, stay where we want, eat where we want, etc.!
This is my take on a once a year or even once in a lifetime trip. But for me saving while we are there allows us to go more often.

Try to spend someone else's money instead. Hey it can work, depending upon the situation.
For as long as I am not broke as it were upon returning home, I am good with it.

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

We will be eating most breakfasts and lunchs in our hotel room (we have a fridge in it). We will be going to the store down the road when we get there and getting things like bread, drinks, PBJ, lunch meat, individual sized cereal's, apple sause, fruit, etc.
We are limiting how much DS can spend on souveniers.
I'm drawing a blank at the moment, but I had a whole list of things.

when I am on vacation I do not want to prepare meals, clean up afterward, etc., so eating meals in our room is something I do not care to do.

Amen!! I NEED a vacation from meal prep, so I don't do it while at DLR. I DO look for ways to save on dining, but I don't go overboard with it. We're not big eaters or snackers, though, and we don't drink soda.

Several people mentioned asking for water and ice, which is a fabulous money saving idea. However, if you are missing some flavor, I suggest taking the Crystal Light single serve packs to give your water an extra kick. Typically, those make me even more thirsty but the Hydration line does not and they are quite delicious. By buying a few different flavors, my kids are excited to pick their favorite.

Do you have a Disney Visa? We save up our rewards dollars and use those on our Disney trips for extra splurges.

Also, you mentioned that your son is turning four. If family or friends ask you to suggest gifts, I would tell them to give money instead or a Disney gift card.

Have a great time!

If you have the target visa/debit card did you know that you get 5% off of gift cards??:goodvibes that way you can save on a disney gift card!!
