How do you prounounce "milk".

Milk, like silk here, too!

I tried pronouncing it melk a couple of times to hear what it sounded like and it hurt my jaw, LOL! Weird!!

Does your jaw hurt if you say Lawrence Welk?

This is how my entire family says it....except my MIL....she says MEEELK and says the word more than she even has to....! It is annoying because it is MILK like silk.


I have one girlfriend whose niece's name is MEGAN pronouced MEG-ANN but my friend insists on calling her niece MEEEEgan....why? No one else does.

I prounounce it "m-ILK". my sister pronounces it "M-ELK".

That is too funny because it's the EXACT same way with me and my sister. I thought she was just by herself on that one.

I've never heard anyone say melk. I live in VA, and we have a pretty good mix of people who grew up in the south and north, so it's kind of weird that I've never heard this.

I said an "e" sound, but I'd call it more Mee-ilk than M-elk, which in my head sound like elk rather than me. Oh, and for those explaining that it rhymes with silk, really doesn't help. I also say see-ilk. (Yep, just shy of two syllables.)
