We own at okw, bwv and bcv. We've stayed at all dvc resorts except Hawaii and the one in the carlinas. They have all been great. It's hard to pick a favorite as they all deliver a unique experience.

I agree. I usually have a favorite for theme, for time of year or event time, for dining, for shopping, etc. If I had to pick just one - it would be my home resort - VWL. Overall, i still get the fuzzy feeling every time we pull in :)

For me, a 'favorite' is the place that immediately impresses me as 'home.' It feels like someplace I've known forever, wraps me in comfort (emotional and physical) and draws me to "let down and relax" ... all from the very moment I arrive.

While not DVC, I've been fortunate to experience such a place in my lifetime and enjoyed owning there for 10 years. It was a place where my friends gathered and my extended family loved to visit. It was a place that was perfect both as "personal escape" and "host to large gatherings." It healed my mind with adventures in the mountainous trails and my body as I soaked in the hot springs. It was, for me, a type of Camelot.

I really like to know that I'm at WDW all the time. So for me that means either location or theming or both. AKV is by far our favorite for theming. BWV and BCV used to be our favorites for location (with BCV edging BWV out due to Stormalong Bay), but now that we have a child, BLT is our favorite for location.

agree. but like to be close to the MK - so BLT and VWL (own both) - and BWV so also can get near Epcot.

now for years 1993 - 2008 owned at OKW (dvc) - it was great - felt like home should be - my brother could not understand why I sold it.

after that many years and did not like some of the new changes at OKW - it was not hard for me.

love and I mean love BLT - the CM are great and walking to the MK - oh that makes the trip - especially on those nights when MK closes at 8 or 9pm and you have alot of people leavng at the same time.

It's hard to pick one since they are all different. We've been to all the WDW DVC resorts. My favorite, is the one we are staying in. :rotfl2: As the song says, "love the one you are with".

But, I like OKW a lot, it's probably the one we go to most often. It's comfortable, quiet, relaxing, nice pool, and two queen beds.

I own at AKV,BWV,BLT. My favorite is BLT but for location will pick BWV. It is usually adults only trips so BWV is a great area. With little one's along or if we want a spa vacation we choose BLT. If I have a very large group hands down AKV GV. The pool table is a big hit. AKV is my least favorite location but love the GV and sitting out with my morning coffee watching the animals.

we never picked a favorite; it picked us :)
we stayed in different resorts (started with off-site, then mods & deluxes, and DVCs) over the years since WDW opened.
among the mods, we loved CBR: the tropical feel, reggae music, beautiful grounds transported us to a carribean escape (and brought back wonderful memories of our "real" island vacations).
the GF wowed us with its elegance and luxury (i would not be surprised to see the "real" mary poppins and the banks family sitting in the lobby, listening to the piano); the poly hit all our senses, transporting us from florida directly to hawaii; the YC was incredibly beautiful in every detail, CMs who made every moment of our stay perfect, etc; at the BWI, the gorgeous lobby and interiors, views, all impressed us - add in the exciting array of activities just a few steps from the quiet elegance the resort envelops one in, and it grabbed our hearts quickly.
we have also had many wonderful times and memories at DVC resorts. each was different: AKV had the most fascinating CMs, and transported us to another country; SSR let us stay at a country manor, with a closeup view of a bald eagle and wildlife......
some, as goldilocks felt;), were just too soft or a bit too hard, perfect for some bears, but missing being the one that felt "just right" to us.

beautifully said....we can give up a lot, but not our "camelot" - our souls need that home which has enveloped us, given us wonderful memories of laughter and warmth, and even healed our hearts when we thought painful scars were going to be forever.

I think a favorite picked us. We joined in 93 and OKW being the only resort picked us as thru the years we built our bank of great memories. No new resort could ever replace that. It will always be our favorite. We also own at BCV and love it, but it's just not OKW. Too much history and too many great memories with over 50 family members and friends. :goodvibes God we love that resort and feel that it loves us back. It just feels right to us!

I might answer this different each time :lmao: my favorite is the one we are staying in at the time. We have tried almost all of them and so far we have enjoyed and loved each one. We do love and prefer BCV for F & W but other than that - not sure I could pick just one. DH loves, loves the relaxed and feels at home more at OKW.

DW and I have stayed at all East Coast resorts.
We pick our favorites as the one we want to be at at that time. We do not care where we stay as long as it is DVC based.

Same for us. The only DVC resort at WDW we haven't stayed at yet is BLT. We've loved all of our stays. We seem to be drawn back to OKW the most though. The boys have requested it for our next trip. We love the relaxing feel there. The boys love the main pool area. They like that the basketball and tennis courts are so close to it. We all love the size of the rooms - although we lucked out at VWL when we stayed there and had a corner 2 bdrm which was huge!

I owned at OKW from 1999-2005. I purchased resale and had never even stayed at OKW - just the moderates. OKW was great from a size perspective but once they built WLV it was over for me. When I couldn't book my stay in December 2005 at WLV at the 7 month window and my wailist never came in I sold OKW to purchase WLV. While I've now stayed at all DVCs on site with the exception of BWV I absolutely love the WLV and it is always my first choice no matter what time of year, but especially Christmas.

For us it was a no brainer. We love all of the resorts but VWL felt like home to us. We enjoy the woods. We own 5.5 acres of property in NH and plan to retire to the woods. So, even without trying all the resorts we knew where we wanted to stay.

I have 2 favorites:

OKW, 1st DVC love and the one I choose if I have a huge party traveling with me, which is often! We love DTD and the boat ride there from OKW!

Kidani, again, large party, love the 3rd bathroom in the 2bd's and the master bath. Always score a view of the Pembeh Savanna on standard points!

These are my home away from home but in the end any resort that has room for me on the dates I want, I call home! Each resort has it's own charm and I wouldn't turn any of them down!

For me it's SSR. Even before it was DVC, we stayed there when it was the Disney Villas and then Disney Institute. So many changes over the years. We can't beat the location, space and beauty. Just say "aaaah...", you're home.

Home at Disney will always be BWV. We really enjoyed our stays at BCV and AKV, and we love BLT (our other home resort), but there's something about the atmosphere of the Boardwalk, the feel of the lobby that, even when we're just visiting while staying somewhere else, makes us feel totally at home. I love the Epcot resort area: the sights, the sounds and the dining options.

BLT comes a close second for me, simply because of the many places in the resort to see the castle. And I can't wait to see how we feel after staying at our new home, VGF. But BWV is very easily home sweet home for me.

it was OKW then VWL - now it is first BLT and then VWL.

both are near the MK - my favorite park (use to be Epcot - but like the old Epcot - when you could actually learn something there)

love the views from BLT

that say really enjoy the quiet places at VWL and WL.
