How do you move files from one computer to another?

I loaded all my pictures into my laptop on vacation. But my laptop doesn't have a CD burner, my desktop does. So I have to get all my pics from the laptop to the desktop.

I bought a program a couple years ago that came with a USB cable and program to link the two computers and it worked great last year. But the program isn't compatible with XP. I loaded it anyway but it wouldn't work. So I've been emailing my pics from one computer to another, but they're large files so I can only email a couple at a time.

There has to be an easier way. I'm almost finished with the pics from this trip, but I'd hate to go through this again!

Go buy an external ZIP drive, save all the pics on the laptop onto it, then hook it up to the other computer and transfer them. Viola!

Along the lines of Jules, how about an external CD burner?

Tried downloading the latest software for your PC Link from the manufacturers web site. They probably have updates for XP users.
