I like it on toast, mixed with mayo, salt, and the chopped up white part of a hard boiled egg. It is also good in a "gutted" tomato.
I'll have to try the lettuce wrap idea.
My recipe:
tuna, preferrably Chicken of the Sea (and no "is this chicken or tuna" jokes! )
mayo (i usually put about 2-3 spoonfuls, I like mine a little on the creamy side)
a squirt of honey mustard
chopped sweet pickles
chopped boiled egg
chunks of tomato
salt and pepper
I make a great tuna salad. It is different from what most people are used to.
It has mayo, chopped celery, walnuts and dried cranberries. Sometimes I put in chopped apple also. It is great on a multigrain bread.
Must use Miracle Whip. Sometimes add onion, celery or both. I also sometimes like to take Lay's plain chips and pile them on and then put the bread over and feel that crunch.
I use tuna, mayo, chopped up dill pickles, apples (take the skin off and diced), hard boiled eggs, and mustard.. My kids think its gross but its the bomb, especially when chilled..
I like mine with 1 spoonful of Miracle Whip, dill pickle relish, tiny, tiny bit of minced onion, salt and pepper and my favorite ingredient...chopped banana peppers. It's awesome!
