How Do You Make Pancakes?

buttermilk pancakes

4 Tbsp Saco buttermilk blend (powered buttermilk)
1 cup al purpose flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking power
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
2 Tbsp vegetable oil

makes 10 4 inch pancakes

Mostly I make them just like you do. We prefer Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Complete. When I've run out of mix, I've made from scratch and I honestly don't find them any tastier and it's messier and what always happens is I don't have enough. It's way easier if you run low to just add more mix and water. You can't do that with a "scratch" recipe.

Krusteaz just add water. If I'm out, I make them from scratch or from Bisquick, but we really don't notice the difference - so I usually do the easier one.

We're a "just add water" household and I think it tastes just as good, I have less dishes to clean up, and it's cheaper.

However, I often throw in blueberries, chocolate chips, or nuts to the mix =)

Store brand (wegmans), just add water mix.
