How Do You Gaurentee A Toy Story Room

Hi

Its not until October next yr, but my daughter is desperate to stay in the Toy Story rooms. Is there anyway that we can reserve these rooms?

I think Fantasia is a preferred room.

Fantasia & I think Dalmation are preferred. Have you booked direct with Disney? If so, you could request it. If you've booked through a TA, prior experience has shown that hotels etc. often aren't aware of the named guests until a week or two before you arrive, so you would have to keep calling or e-mailing (if you can get an address). As with all these things, you can ask, but I doubt it could be guaranteed.

We booked via Virgin, and we requested Toy Story as Our preferred room, when we arrived they tried to tell us all toy story block was full and the only block available was mighty ducks stay firm if this happens to you, and tell they you have booked toy story via your travel operator.
Unless they can give you confimation prior of your room choice.

I don't think they can or will guarantee Toy Story. Fantasia is the preferred location and comes at a slightly higher price.

I'm almost certain you can't email the resort direct; you can fax them (posts I have read suggest you do this 3-4 days before arrival). I have read recently that Disney are actively discouraging this practice, but don't know if it's true or not.

We also would like to be in Toy Story in December but to be honest wherever we are put will have pros and cons compared with the others. What I'm not prepared to do is try desperately hard to get the Toy Story location as then we will all be disappointed if I fail It's about managing expectations (my own as well as my DD's, LOL)

Whether you are allocated Toy Story or not you can still go and see it, take photos etc

You cannot guarantee a room in toy story, but we have stayed there three times and each time we have been lucky enough to get a room overlooking Andys Room in the toy story block.

What we did was firstly on the occassions when we booked through a travel agent or Virgin was give them the request which they add to the booking form, which they will send to the room controller at All Stars Movies about one to two weeks before you travel.
Secondly I faxed the room controller at ASMo one week before arriving and also the day before arriving. The content of the fax was basically not a demand but a begging note! lol I wrote that while we appreciate that they cannot guarantee requests it would make it such a special holiday for the children etc, but I did start it off with as we are travelling from the UK such a long way etc

We visited over Thanksgiving and Christmas so busy periods and got what we wanted, I just told my children that I had made the request but did not hold out much hope so when we got the rooms it made it even more special. The amusing thing is that last christmas we actually requested a room number, when I checked in the staff apologised they could not give us that room, but had given us the one next to it and apologised, they had given us another room feet away but where apologising!

I wish you luck, but we are considering going at the same time so don't take our room!!

I planned to fax ahead asking for a Toy Story room but never got round to it! I did ask at check-in and they checked and had none available. Ended up in Dalmations.

Turned out to be a good thing - we toured the resort the first moring and when we walked down to Andy's Room Molly got in 'RC' and refused to get out - when we lifted her out there were major hysterics! And to think we would have had to pass it on every trip to the buses/foodcourt/shop/pool!!!!

It turned out she loved Dalmations so it worked out well

Good Luck anyway just mention your room request at every opportunity and hopefully it will work out.

Thanks for all the help. I think we will try and fax them a week before and phone them a few days before as well.

I dont think Casey will let me down if we dont get the Toy Story room. We stayed in Dalamations last time, she was well upset.
