How do you display Christmas cards?

I bought a cardboard wreath that is a card holder, and I've used it for a couple years, but DH doesn't like it, thinks it's tacky. Other than taping cards to doorways, or hanging on ribbons, what other ways are there to creatively display Christmas cards. We get a LOT of cards...probably 150 or so. (at our church the youth group hand delivers cards as a fund raiser and most people do it)

I use a card-holder purchased from Disneyshopping.com last month. Even DH thinks it's cute!

We have ours hung in the entry way. I loop garland in several strands through the stair way rails going up and use small brass cafe curtain rod hangers to clip the cards to the garland. You can easily reposition them or take them down to read. (I also use the curtain clips to hold the garland in place).

One year I didn't do it and everyone asked where it was!

We have tried many things and have gone back to taping them to the doorframe of our sliding doors in the kitchen. I like seeing all the cards (and love seeing all the pictures of my friends kids) so we tape them up.

I made this last year:

And it is a picture from last year too.

I cut a piece of cardboard like a tree & got some green shiny felt (I think it is felt) from Joannes & I glued it but when I went to go & put it up this year I noticed the glue was becoming unglued so I stapled it (open the stapler way).

The felt is folded over the cardboard so you can't see it.

I forgot to buy brown for the trunk & I had white so I just stuck that on & I still need to make a star for it but there is always next year.

Edited to add, I attach velcro to the card & it stays on. I use the sticky velcro & the hook side.

I just put them all in a basket that is decorated.

My mom does this too, for some reason when people come over, they like to read christmas cards???:rotfl:

I have always taped them in doorways, but we moved this year, and i thought it was kind of tacky..so , so I put them in a basket as well..and last night, everyone was like..

where's the christmas cards...they need to be hung. :rotfl: :confused3 :rotfl:

I tape them to the archway that goes from the living room to the dining room, right next to our tree. :)

I hang the cards on my kitchen cupboards around my kids Christmas art work. Then instead of throwing them away I keep them for next years gift tags. I cut out the picture, back side is blank and I write to and from on it, punch a hole, tie ribbon around it and put on the Christmas presents. We do keep a couple of our favorites and put them in our scrapbook.

I have some glass front cabinets in my kitchen, and a glass front china cabinet in the dining room. I put them inside (they fit in the grooves) so I can see the pictures.

I used to tape them up too between the living room and kitchen. Though I guess we aren't as "loved" as we usd to be. We have only gotten three cards this year not worth the time to hang up three :sad1: I've always sent out cards thirty or so this year. We used to get a lot. I'm not sure if I should chalk it up to postage rates or if people are trying to tell me something:scared: by not sending cards to us...

I put the photo cards on our refridgerator. Then I have a silver card wreath and stick all the other cards into that.

My mom has the basket too and it is funny when we get to her house around Christmas. Everyone runs to the basket to start looking at the cards!

We tape ours up. On the wall in the entryway. But I've thought about using a small 4' tree and turning them into ornaments with ribbons to hang them or something...

I tape them up on the door trim in the living room.

I have a wooden snowman that stands about 4 feet tall and has slots on both sides for cards...Its adorable.
