Wow, should I be worried? I just used them without cleaning! Do they not clean them?![]()
DVCLady posted this method. I've used it several time with good results:
"I use a cup of bleach and a 1/4 cup of cascade. Fill the tub with hot water, turn it on and pour the bleach and cascade in. Let it run for 15 mins, turn it off and let it soak for 10 mins. Turn it on and run it again for 5 mins. Drain it, then fill it back up and rinse for 10-15 mins.
If you do have black stuff coming out of the jets call housekeeping they will send someone with clorine tablets and clean the jets out. It's really strong stuff. You will have to leave the room while they do it. "
I just fill 'er up, and soak. I've not yet died from the experience, or even contracted a serious illness.
As far as I know, anyway.![]()
We have a jetted tub at home, and the manufacturer's instructions recommend using dishwasher detergent. Dishwasher detergent already has bleach in it, so adding additional bleach really isn't necessary. Our instructions say to fill the tub with hot water to at least 3 inches above the jets, put in the detergent, and the run the jets for 20 min, drain the tub, re-fill with cold water, and run for another 20 min to rinse.
