How do we love Disney? Let me count the ways... (updated & completed 5/11)

You are making me hungry with all this talk of waffles :rotfl: I love them too and call me crazy but I swear they taste better in the shape of Mickeys. The first time I passed up the french toast too because it's on the kiddie part of the buffet, but if you ever go back give it a try, you won't be sorry ;)

Yeah, i could eat Mickey waffles right now..... and the PoP waffles were pretty tasty too!

Cute pictures. I especially like the ones in Liberty Square. Very cute. I can't wait to see the Minnie Ears!

Great updates!! I'm so glad you had a good breakfast at Crystal Palace I really enjoyed my meal there!! Isn't Eeyore the greatest...he's my fave of all the Pooh characters too.

Glad you and Jess had so much fun at Magic Kingdom that morning!!! I love love love the Haunted Mansion and I'm glad you guys enjoyed it too!!!

Thanks, it was fun. i really wanted to get a picture of both of us in there at the same time, but this was the one place in the WHOLE PARK where people were at that time, and people just kept jumping up on that thing so i didn't bother.

The more i see the picture with the big boat the more i like it... maybe i'll have to demote the Castle from my desktop picture!

Love your trip report so far. Great pictures. Can't wait to here more :thumbsup2

:welcome: and thank you! i love taking pictures, so far the ones i've posted are less than 1/3 of the ones i've got for those time periods, so i may end up later just posting a ton of pictures! (i just keep feeling like i'm writing a photo essay rather than a TR!)

Yes, Eeyore IS the greatest  i think he's pretty much my favourite Disney character, period. i wish there had been more Eeyore merchandise actually. i did find a bunch more t-shirts in the Winnie the Pooh store at DTD (pictures on the appropriate day) but decided not to buy any because really, i work all the time! When i come home from work i put my pajamas on and i don't need that many t-shirts. The ones i already have from the trip will be plenty, so i restrained myself. i did get one thing Eeyore while at DHS........

..........but that is still three days away in trip time! :rotfl:

Great update Sare! You guys got a lot done that morning! I'm sorry Jess was shaken up with the drop on POTC! :sad1:

I love Thunder Mountain - it is my absolute favorite ride in the MK!

Can't wait to see those ears!! :goodvibes

Yeah, we really did get in a lot. i loved Big Thunder Mountain, especially after all the boats (is there a little green sea-sicky smiley?).

We took the bus back to PoP, after discovering that the PoP bus stop is as far as possible from the entrance. This would be a theme, except at DHS and DTD. We caught an almost empty bus back to PoP, where we had lunch: nachos and tie-dyed cheesecake for me, burger and fries and chocolate cake for Jess.

We returned to our room and Jess watched tv while i uploaded the first batch of pictures onto the computer and set my camera battery to charging. Jess decides we should go for a swim, so we get changed and head down to the pool. The water is nice and warm, especially on the top where the sun was shining on it, but the air was very cold! When we got out we sure hurried back inside for hot showers!

While Jess was in the shower, i tried again to get the internet connection working. i even called the tech support number. Nothing the tech guy suggested was working and i was getting very frustrated. It was probably at this point that i asked gelly to post on my PTR to let y'all know we'd arrived safely! (Thanks again, twinnie!)

After my shower, we talked about how to spend the rest of the afternoon. It was about 3pm. We decided to go back to the MK, but... the Epcot bus came first, and we decided to get on it!

Arriving at Epcot we have some Photopass pictures taken

and then walk onto

which i like and Jess loves. We walked over to
DSC00200.jpg

which we both thought was kinda lame. i think part of the problem was that we didn't see ANY of the live fish! Not ONE!

After Nemo we saw Turtle Talk with Crush and we both laughed a lot, he was very funny. We especially loved Dory calling him "Flush". At one point when Crush was choosing a child to talk to he chose "that one over there, before his mother pulls his arm off!"

We came out and i took these:

And i took this one, thinking of Paula

When we came out of there, it was time to head to the Poly for dinner. We took the monorail to the TTC and then to the Poly.

This is the ADR i was the MOST excited about:

And it did not disappoint. It was truly delicious. We loved the bread and macademia-nut butter. We shared the sticky wings to start (omg, sooooo yummy) and then she had the Pan-Asian Noodles with chicken and i had the Teriyaki Beef. Oh. my. goddess. SOOOOOOOO delicious. Then we had the Kilauea Tortes for dessert. The whole meal was incredibly filling and incredibly delicious!

Things i love about Disney #3: Kona! It really was that good.

Where will we go after dinner? Will we be able to see something we only glimpsed last night? Will it be as magical as i'd hoped?

Great update Sare! Jess looks so cute with those ears on. Hmmm, I am now considering Kona for June, I hadn't really thought about it before but I forgot how amazing it is :)

We love Kona too. We always go every trip and it's our first meal when we go in March. I had O'Hana but dropped it for Kona. I couldn't miss a trip without it.

Great update once again Sare! We loved Kona too! So good! That kilauhea torte is what I had too, and it was, by far, the best dessert I had the whole trip!

Ah, the real world. You know, that place outside of Disney where people think you should be paying attention to them and your job and your family and stuff. What's up with that, anyway? i just got back from Disney, i don't want to work all the time, i want a vacation to recover from my vacation! i can't believe that it's already been a week since we got back. i just can't get over how the time is passing already!

On the plus side it means my boyfriend's next visit is rapidly approaching :lovestruc but on the downside it means my birthday is looming large as well (the last one before i turn thirty!). i'll be glad for the end of winter and anxious to see the trees and grass and flowers again.

Today is my one day off (my office manager is currently on her holidays, so i am doing both of our jobs :scared:) and i went and had some of our Disney pictures printed. i dumped out all my Disney- and trip-related scrapbooking stuff this morning and figured out the first pages i want to make, and only printed the photos i need for those pages. i don't want to end up printing loads more photos than i'm going to use. i will at some point make either a photo album or a digital scrapbook for Jess to keep.

Anyway, that's what's going on in my world these days. How about y'all?

Great updates Sare!! You guys really did a lot in MK and Epcot! I love the Minnie ears!! I saw them too and really thought about buying them, their too cute! I'm sorry Jess was a bit freaked by the drop on POTC! I always warn the kids as we approach it so their prepared! Woo Hoo for walking on the Jungle Cruise! We didn't get to ride it because the line was alway 40 minutes or so and the FastPass machines were covered. Oh well! There's always next trip!

Thanks Melissa!

Actually, not only did we walk on, but there were CMs standing around calling out that there was no wait for it!

i would have warned her if i had known the drop was coming, but i didn't! i don't think i'd ever been on it before.
