How do we love Disney? Let me count the ways... (updated & completed 5/11)

I love those unexpected magical moments. They are 100 times better than the ones you plan and stress over because they are spontaneous. :goodvibes

How nice to see Wishes from the Polynesian on your first night! Sounds heavenly! :cloud9: Love the pictures! You're doing great....keep going....:goodvibes

Great updates so much!!! WOW what I would give for a frozen coke right now!! That is the one thing I really really love about POP Century!!

So glad your luggage arrived and you were able to get to Ohana's all clean and enjoy your meal!!

Wishes...awwww...I'm going to sigh right now too LOL

Thank you Sara :) i keep reading yours and Jen's and Mrs The King's TRs trying to make sure i'm on the right path. (Taking four posts to get through one day is one of the consequences of those particular TRs :rolleyes1)

Sometimes it seems like i'm ending up with more photos than words though.

You know what's kind of funny, i'm totally a Pepsi fan and can't drink canned or bottled Coke, but Coke that comes from a fountain or those frozen ones can actually be quite yummy! i could go for a frozen Coke now too! :goodvibes

i was pretty relieved the luggage arrived too. Too bad i didn't have Sara around to tell me to just go buy new shirts in the gift shop :lmao:

Yay! It looks live you've been busy updating while I was away from the computer! Looking forward to hearing all about the trip!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: popcorn::

Only four posts for one day? Nah...you can do better than that....gotta take at least 7 or 8!! ;)

Love the photos AND the words....don't short-change us!

LOL! Well, it's a good thing...not having me there, saved you about $50! I'm glad your luggage arrived and you were able to save that cash for something more exciting...like more frozen cokes to spill all over yourself!! :thumbsup2

Sara

OK Sare...I'm all caught up now. Sorry I've been MIA for a bit:rolleyes:

I love the 'getting run over' story...made me laugh out loud!

Frozen Cokes are fine... i guess I just don't get as excited about it since our main local gas station/convenience shoppe (Sheetz) has them in the self serve fountain soda area. Since we can get them anytime it makes them less special, but not less YUMMY;)

I'm glad Jess enjoyed her 1st flight...she seems to be having fun:woohoo:

Sare.....

GUESS WHAT I GOT TODAY??   my postcard from Disney.....thank you of all days I needed it today....it brightened my day.

Reading your TR and I'm so sorry it was cold....you know how I hate the cold.
I do hope it warmed up for you both.

We have frozen coke here at our local Meijer store and alot of the convienent stores have them...they are so refreshing during the summer, I love the frozen cherry coke

popcorn:: I'm subbing! Can't wait to read more, your already off to a great start. :goodvibes

Oh, i'm so glad it came!!! And i'm glad it made you smile!

i love Cherry Coke period, we can't get it in Canada. i had one from Goofy's the night we went to DTD (ooops now i'm spoiling a surprise) but because we were on the second floor of our building and always took the stairs, and because we had a fridge and never went to get ice, i didn't notice until we were leaving that the pop machine by the elevators had cherry coke in it!!! i could have had it all along!!

Oh well, i probably wouldn't have lost 10 pounds at Disney by drinking Cherry Coke all the time!

Next update not til tomorrow y'all, i'm going straight to bed!!

Having not slept much, i was already awake and waiting for our wakeup call. i had set it for 6:45, but it was at least 10 minutes late. :confused3 This was the one and only time i used the wakeup call service.

We got up and got dressed and headed out to the bus lane just exactly in time to get on a bus. MK was very empty and i was able to get some great pictures...

we also had some Photopass pictures done, and the PPCM also took some with my camera:

Then we went to check in at Crystal Palace. While we were waiting to be seated, Jess spotted Tigger through the window. i played dumb as long as i could but she did figure it out before we got in. She was pretty happy to see Pooh, who arrived at our table almost the same instant we did:

DSC00141.jpg

Although we did get the pictures i hadn't had a chance to get my autograph book out yet :( We then had a bit of a wait then with no other characters in sight, so we went and filled our plates. The food was yummy, i really enjoyed it. Piglet sort of came and went without even stopping at our table despite me saying hello to him, i was sort of miffed, but then finally  there was Eeyore. Jess took lots of pictures:

He was very cute and so sweet, he hung out at our table for a couple of minutes and was pleased to be the first one to sign my book. He kissed me a couple of times and was just so fun and sweet. It was really great.

We both decided not to wait for Tigger to come by, and about the same time i was asking for the bill, rope drop was happening outside. i signed for our meals and then we headed out into Adventureland.

Things i love about Disney #2: Characters! It is so wonderful to be able to hug and talk to them! (especially Eeyore of course!)

Eeyore's my favorite too!! Big shock! I'm glad you and Jess enjoyed the characters! That's one thing we definitely did more of last trip than this one. I think Jack-Jack needs to be a bit older to appreciate the character part of it more.

Can't wait to hear about the rope drop, something I've never done. I may have to drag my tush out of bed earlier next trip! The empty pics of main street look awesome!

Sare.....love your shirt that is the same shirt I bought to wear when we ate at Crystal Palace. Great minds have great taste in t-shirts:)

The picture of Jess and Goofy are awesome.

The one of both of you with Winnie is so priceless I think that is my fav so far.

Bring on more TR and Pics.

What wonderful pictures Sare! :thumbsup2 It looks like it was really chilly out, was it? Don't you just love an empty park?

I love the Crystal Palace - sorry about Piglet and Tigger though. But I have to say Pooh and Eeyore are my faves!!!

Great update...can't wait for more....popcorn::

Sara

Hi! I just read through your PTR and I loved it so I had to head over here. Great start!:) I love Eeyore! The food at CP is so great, did you try the puffed french toast? It is one of my favorite foods ever!

Our wake up calls at Pop were always 10 minutes late too, it was very annoying to me. While our WL wake up calls were always on time. Very odd.

Early morning breakfast at Crystal Palace is just the best. Eeyore is my favorite too at CP. I love his tail! :cutie:

We didn't actually make rope drop on this day - we did on another day at another park! It was super fun to be there feeling like it was just us and the PPCMs - i think everyone else went straight to the Castle or CP for breakfast without really stopping for PP, whereas i was all about getting pictures of JUST US. It was great!

i'm working on it! i love that shirt too. The two Eeyore shirts and the Minnie shirts are the only ones i really want to keep for myself, so i've got them in my room now that they've been washed. Jess can pretty much have the rest, although i may still borrow the odd Tink when i'm in the right mood.... :rolleyes1

YES it was chilly that morning!! As the morning went on it did warm up though, and it was never that cold again, luckily!

:welcome:, hi! Thanks for reading, thanks for posting! i actually did not try the French Toast, though i guess i should have :sad2: i really love the Mickey waffles lol

i pretty much always have waffles when i go out for breakfast, and i'm sure my BF would point out if he could that i always say that if we were going to have pancakes or French toast i could have made it at home! But waffles.... i love waffles.

Our wake up calls at Pop were always 10 minutes late too, it was very annoying to me. While our WL wake up calls were always on time. Very odd.

Huh, that is pretty odd. i ended up just using my cellphone alarm like i use at home. At least i know what it is when i hear it (i'm not the most...coherent....when first woken up).

Eeyore is just so adorable! Oh i should have mentioned this during the post: when the waiter was taking our drink order, he asked who our favourite characters were. Pooh had just left at this point and Jess said hers was Pooh, and when i said my favourite is Eeyore, the waiter said "All the girls like Eeyore - i think it's because he's so sad. They all want to cheer him up."

Gotta love that rare perceptive man! :rotfl:

Great updates Sare!! I love you pictures! I'm glad Jess was glad to see Pooh and friends!!!! Can't wait to read mroe!

Thanks!!! Jess was pretty excited. i think she was a little embarassed at first, because she wasn't sure how into it she should be, but once Eeyore came and i made a total fool of myself, she loosened up a bit with the rest of the characters we saw through the trip.

We walked onto
DSC00151.jpg

(Jess' choice for her first ride). Here she is enjoying it:
DSC00155.jpg

Then we walked onto
DSC00160.jpg
DSC00161.jpg

and had a really funny guide (i wish i could remember his name). At this point my camera battery, which the evening before had still shown full, died. i was not impressed. Luckily by this point Jess had lost interest in taking pictures and happily handed over my old camera, which i used for the rest of the morning.

After the Jungle Cruise we walked onto
IMG_2079.jpg

which we both enjoyed, although the drop caught Jess really off guard and she was a little freaked for the rest of the trip whenever a ride was kind of in the dark and seemed to be tame, she was quite suspicious.

After Pirates, we saw that the standby line for
DSC00175.jpg

was very short, so we walked on (well, i walked on, Jess walked through. She didn't want to ride). i loved it! While Jess was waiting for me, she was talking with a woman and her son and the son suggested we try the Haunted Mansion next as he had really loved it, so we headed that way. On the way we stopped here:

and then saw this:

Finally we got to the Haunted Mansion (i don't have the ride sign for this one..), which we both loved. As we were getting off Jess wanted to go again, but a line had formed and i said we'd come back another time. We moved down into Fantasyland, where we decided to ride

IMG_2103.jpg

This wasn't a big hit with either of us, to be honest, but it's one of those things you just have to do at Disney World!

When we got off IASW, we decided to give this a try:
IMG_2106.jpg
IMG_2107.jpg

It was okay. i really wanted to see Mickey's Philharmagic, but it was closed! :confused3 i was disappointed. Then we walked around the Castle and shopped our way down Main Street, buying the Minnie ears that you will be seeing a lot in the next days' pictures! As a side note, i was asked by approximately 15 different people where i had found those ears. i wish i could take credit for finding them but it was gellybean who told me where to get them!

At the end of Main Street Jess caught sight of the train and decided we should ride it. We did and she decided it was very boring but nice to be sitting down for a while!

Then we headed out of the park and back to PoP for lunch.

You are making me hungry with all this talk of waffles :rotfl: I love them too and call me crazy but I swear they taste better in the shape of Mickeys. The first time I passed up the french toast too because it's on the kiddie part of the buffet, but if you ever go back give it a try, you won't be sorry ;)
