How do we love Disney? Let me count the ways... (updated & completed 5/11)

Hi Sare...when is your birthday...mine is approaching to soon.
Also when do you get to see DB again?.I know you didn't get to spend as much time as you wanted to with him last time, so I hope this time you both will get to spend alot of special time together.

BTW...how are you feeling is the dizziness and sodium levels doing better.

I again am going to say I love the pictures you took of the both of you...the ones with you both in dreds is so funny.

I too love eeyeore there is just something about him. I was more excited to see him that Mickey. Please no flames thrown my way for that remark.

LOL i was more excited to see Eeyore than Mickey, too. my boyfriend is coming sometime in April for my birthday, it's only the second time we will be together for one of our birthdays in the almost 4 years we've been together! i can't wait :goodvibes

Well, i can't wait for him to be here. i could happily wait forever for my birthday.

Thanks, i love all the pictures too. Well, i'm not fussed about the ones of me from the next day as i was wearing my contacts, but oh well.

i am feeling much better, thank you , a little run down from all the working but i'll survive. my sodium levels seem to be good, i've not been dizzy at all lately. i've been drinking gatorade and just trying to pay attention to what i eat and it seems to be working well :thumbsup2

i wish *you* were feeling better! When is your birthday?

Lovin' the updates! You have already done so much that I want to do on my next trip...Crush, Kona, spaceship earth...I am totally living vicariously through you right now!

So don't keep us waiting too much longer for the next update! Details...pictures...we want it all! popcorn::

i'm living vicariously through myself! i wish i was back there doing it all again! Thank goodness i took notes every day or i wouldn't be remembering half of this stuff, which would make for a really sucky TR!

i definitely definitely DEFINITELY recommend Kona!!!!

Next update will be along soon.. probably tomorrow :)

Ah, the real world. i dumped out all my Disney- and trip-related scrapbooking stuff this morning and figured out the first pages i want to make, and only printed the photos i need for those pages. i don't want to end up printing loads more photos than i'm going to use. i will at some point make either a photo album or a digital scrapbook for Jess to keep.

Anyway, that's what's going on in my world these days. How about y'all?

Ugh going back to the real world stinks. You are good, I've been back for a month and a half and all my stuff I wanted to use for a scrapbook is shoved in a bag in my closet

Oh, and I just had this random new thought...I should book KONA for my June trip because it's awesome ;) :rotfl:

April 19th. But i'm boycotting it for a few years :upsidedow

After dinner at the Poly we hopped quickly onto the monorail and headed back to the MK. It was about 7:40 and the crowds on Main Street were thick. We decided to stand in the circle inside the base of Main Street rather than try to get closer to the castle. On reflection i'm glad we did this: the view was still excellent and it was much easier to speedwalk out of the park and down the endless miles to the PoP bus stop.

Wishes was even more incredible from up close than it had been the night before from 'Ohana's windows. It was really beautiful and my photos don't nearly do it justice.

It wasn't nearly as cold as it had been even that morning, and it was a beautifully clear night. It was really spectacular. After Wishes we headed back to PoP, with a really funny driver. He asked if we knew what "Epcot" stands for and told us it really means "Every person comes out tired". And we sure were. we stumbled back to our room, set the alarm, and got almost straight into bed. i can't even remember if my BF called this night or not. i think he did. :confused3

Things i love about Disney #4: Wishes. Wow.

Memories of the Second Day
The weather today was... getting warmer! Very sunny.
The best thing today was... EVERYTHING! We finally ate at Kona and it was amazing. We also walked onto every single ride!
The worst thing today was... lack of sleep. We are SO tired. Jess got a yucky blister, too.
The funniest thing today was... the driver on our Jungle Cruise really made us laugh (side note, i zoomed in one of my pictures, his name is Jeff!). So did Crush & Dory!
Today we tried... Captain Jack Sparrow's hat
And the result was... well, let's just say i don't think either of us will be called as an extra in the next Pirates film.
The most magical moment today was... having Main Street so empty as we caught our first spectacular view of the Castle. It was definitely worth getting up so early!

I think your spot to view Wishes is excellent! Its great to be able to speed right out of the park and not have to exit with the masses. :goodvibes

I remember hearing about what Epcot stands for, I think one of our bus drivers said the same thing. SO VERY TRUE. :lmao:

Great spot for wishes! It's great to get a quick exit before the masses of people com charging down the street!!! Your bus driver was very, very right about epcot! Can't wait to read more!

LOL i was more excited to see Eeyore than Mickey, too. my boyfriend is coming sometime in April for my birthday, it's only the second time we will be together for one of our birthdays in the almost 4 years we've been together! i can't wait :goodvibes

Same here! The most memorable character meeting for me was Eeyore...My throat was sore and I had lost my voice on our first full day, and when I gave my favorite donkey a hug he took my daughter's autograph book and wrote me a note : sorry your voice hurts, xoxo Eeyore. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Good call on the Wishes spot! :thumbsup2

Sounds like an overall wonderful day!

(Oh yeah, I have to agree...I forgot about that amazing Ohana dessert...it ranks up there with the torte from Kona....both amazing!)

Yes, it was a really good spot. We could see just fine, we could hear just fine, it wasn't super crowded, plus we only arrived 20 mins before the show, what more can you ask for at that point!? i LOVED Wishes and was really hoping to see it again before we left...

great TR! I love Eeyore and we have an 805 ADR on our 1st day ever in the MK to see him at the Crystal Palace. I cannot wait and seeing your pictures makes me even more excited.
Can't wait for your next installment!

Hiya and :welcome: That's awesome, your first view of the castle will be uncluttered by people, it is SOOOOO worth getting up super early!!!!

This morning the alarm went off at eight, startling me from a deep sleep - Yay! i finally got some sleep! We get up and dressed and head out to the bus stop. We had looked at the Weather Channel before we left and decided we didn't need our sweaters this morning (it was about 55 already). This turned out to be a good decision! We took the bus to the MK, took the Monorail to the Contemporary, and duly admired the windows and the beautiful tiled column in the middle. We checked in at Chef Mickey's:

and then went to sit down and wait. Maybe because we were really hungry, it felt like we waited a long time before we were called in. Our ADR was for 10, we had gotten there about 9:45 and i think we were seated around 10:05.

All the pictures from my camera are slightly yellowish and blurry because someone (okay, me) forgot to change it from the fireworks setting it had been on for Wishes. i'm lucky they turned out at all!

Goofy came first:

Then Minnie:

She liked our ears!

Next came Donald:

and HE wasn't impressed with our ears! He told me i should be wearing something Donald Duckish and i said i was sorry but they hadn't had any Donald Duck ears in the shops. We both realised at the same time that's because he doesn't really HAVE ears :lmao: and he suggested i could have gotten a beak. i said that was true but that it wouldn't have looked nearly as good on me as it did on him and he seemed to agree. He was very funny.

Then it was time for the Big Cheese himself:

He was nice, he noticed that Jess was wearing his shirt and asked us if we were enjoying our breakfast. i told him he was a pretty good cook for a movie star.

Last but not least came Pluto, who nuzzled Jess until i suggested she pet him, and then he sort of bounced around a bit.

IMG_2174-1.jpg

When it was my turn i scratched behind his ears. i told him he wrote his name amazingly well for a dog.

The characters had all come fairly quickly, so that by the time the five of them had been and gone, we were just about done our breakfast. i asked for the bill and signed for our meals and then we hopped back onto the monorail and headed back around the resort loop to the MK.

Regarding the photos, you may have noticed they're a little bigger now, hopefully that's the size they'll be for the rest of the TR. i finally figured out where i was going wrong in photobucket. :confused3 i also hate all the pictures of myself from this day, i think i look much better with my glasses on but oh well, i wanted to wear my sunglasses this day so i wore my contacts.

Love all your pictures! Even the yellow ones!

Funny how you had all those conversations with the Fab 5! They never seem to want to talk to us! ;)

Seriously, it sounds like you had great character interaction - especially with Donald! Too funny!

You look nice in your contacts! :goodvibes

Sara

You look cute in your pictures, I don't know what you are talking about!! It sounds like breakfast was fun! How was the food? We haven't done Chef Mickey's for breakfast in awhile so I don't really remember...but I will say this I bet it's no KONA! :rotfl: (I'm sorry I just had to say it!)

I LOVE the ears. And the pics all look great - looks like you were having a great time with all the characters. How did Jess like riding the monorail? We didn't get to go on it last trip....it's a definite MUST for the next time around!
