How do I get to Sea World?

I'm trying to get a group of 8 to Sea World in September. We'll be leaving from the Poly after breakfast around 9 am, but returning to Pop. I've considered using the Lynx bus system, but it looks like it would take about 1 hour to get there, if I'm reading things right. Can anyone help me figure out how much it might cost for a taxi or Mears shuttle that can accomodate 8? Or do we need to split into 4? How do I go about arranging this, as well as the return trip. Any advice you can give will be so appreciated. This is really stressing me out and I need a plan. Thanks so much!

www.happylimo.com is a car service we used and had a great experience with. They have 10 passenger vans and the following is the rate. Looks like $97 not including tip round trip to Sea World. www.mousesavers.com might have a discount code (I think it might only be for airport r/t service). Two taxis will cost you more than this and the van will pick you up where you are and drop you off where you need to be. I am sure other companies will be competetive with this rate. Check around and see which is best.

DISNEY SEA WORLD/INTERNATIONAL DRIVE AREA $51.00 $97.00

Don't stress -- this will not be difficult!

You can also get a van via a local taxi service that will seat 8; all you have to do is stop at the bell services desk at the Poly and they will make the call for you. The van will be there in minutes (there is a huge networks of taxis that are always at WDW). It is just as simple for the trip back -- there is always a long taxi queue at Sea World -- you can't miss it as you exit the park. If there isn't already a van waiting in the line, the guy in the first taxi will call one for you.

I'm sorry that I can't give you hard numbers, but we found that taking taxis was cheaper than using the car services. Maybe someone else can help out, but I think the round-trip taxi fare was in the $60 range.

It's good to know that getting a ride home when we leave should not be hard. That was my biggest concern. Has anyone used a taxi for this purpose recently? How much can I expect to pay?

We did take the Lynx bus to Seaworld. It has to be 5 or 6 years ago. We are a family of 4. It was $10. round trip. Picked us up at TTC and dropped us off right across the street. When we were ready to leave, we waited on a bench at the bus stop. It was so simple. The bus was really nice. Cushioned seats and tvs.

It did not take an hour, but I don't recall exactly how long the ride was. I, too, was really nervous, but it worked out great. I had gotten help from others on this website and I did go on the Lynx site to check it out.

Once we got to TTC, I just asked at the window where to stand.

Good luck.

We did the same thing.
If you are looking for personal door to door service and okay with 100 added to your Sea WOrld Day, by all means go taxi or Service
If you want a Cheap, Easy way to get from DIsney to SWorld, LYNX, was easy, and did not take an hour...but made some stops, it is the REGULAR bus system, not a Disney bus, so no Disney atmosphere...I think it was like 35-45 minutes...
I would NOT do it with kids in a stroller, its public transport and the whole stroller thing is nuts to me anyway....
If you go on bus website, they are very helpful, I had called and confirmed all and it was way way cheap, like 3 a person......
whatever you choose, have a great trip!
