How do I get from a port hotel to the ship the next day?

Hello All,

It seems the vast majority of cruisers stay at the Radisson if they choose to stay at the port. Is it that much closer than the other options?

If I don't rent a car, which other hotels offer a free shuttle to the ship?

Or is it possible to walk? Like say from the Ron Jon?

How close exactly is Cocoa Beach?

Or would I just hire a taxi to take me from hotel to ship?

The last time I cruised I just used Disney transfer from WDW so I guess this is an all new ball game for me, please help!

The Radisson is the closest hotel to the Port. There are no properties within walking distance.
Cocoa Beach is adjacent to Port Canaveral. Taxis are abundant and a good option if you decide to stay at another property.
I am unaware of any other hotels that offer the complimentary shuttle to the Port.

Good Luck

As far as I know, only the Radisson has a free shuttle. However, there is a shuttle that serves all the area hotels for $3 per person. No, it is not really reasonable to consider walking from a hotel with luggage, etc. Of course, you can also take a taxi.

All the car return places will shuttle you back to the port for free. Cocoa Beach is about 5-10 minutes away (depending on which part of Cocoa.) This is where most of the hotels are located.

The reason most people stay at the Radisson is that it is the closest hotel and it allows you to park free while you are on the cruise and shuttles you free to the port. You can also stay at the Quality Suites and park at the Radisson while you cruise. This saves the $10 per day parking charge at the port.

Anyone know if these wondrous free or low-cost shuttles/taxis have lifts for transporting electric scooters and their drivers? Of course I could just pack my luggage onto the cart that attaches to the back of the scooter... and haul all to the port....or could I? pirate:
