How do I add a link to another post in the same thread?

Hi all,

Was trying to do my first trip report and I just realized that I don't know how to make a table of contents. Can someone explain to help me out?

To include a link directly to a specific post, click on the post number in the bottom right of that post. It will give you a link -- copy and paste that where you want it (in the table of contents). First highlight the words and then use the little button above that looks like 2 links of a chain.

Not to high jack thread but I tried doing this and when I went to click on the link I got this message:
The requested URL "http://" cannot be found or is not available. Please check the spelling or try again later.

I'm trying to link one of my own posts to my page one Table of Contents.....I keep getting that error listed above.
