Question about "off Property" areas

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone knows what would be the easiest option is for walking 'off property' from the end of Downtown Disney (by Din Tai Fung)?
I'm a smoker (I know, I know...) and usually go to the Harbor Blvd side to get off-property to have a smoke. This upcoming trip, though, my pass is blocked on Sunday and I figure I'll spend most of the day in Downtown Disney. I'm wondering what the easiest way to get "off property" from the other end (near the hotels) would be. I've never ventured out the exit on this end before and am completely unfamiliar with the exit/entrance and what lies beyond. I figure I'll need to walk out to a street somewhere, but don't have a clue where to head.

The surrounding area is all Disney property - PPH/ DLH, parking lots, gardens, etc. They replaced the sidewalk that ran along Disneyland Drive worth a walkway the runs directly into the PP garage. I do not know if smoking is allowed on this walkway, but my burst guess would be no. It’s somewhat of a hike (10-15 minute walk) to get to the public street.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, before I posted the questions, I was looking at a map trying to figure it out, and came to a similar conclusion; that it would be a 10-15 minute walk just to go off property in that direction. Perhaps I'll just stick to the Harbor Blvd. side. : )

From that side of DTD it would still be a 10-15 minute walk to Harbor.

Ha, well, I guess I'll definitely be getting steps in, either way! With the extra calories I'm burning, I think that means I can have more churros!
