How difficult has it been to get Jan. ADRs?

We are still mulling over January or May...my concern is that I won't get any TS reservations for Jan.

What are people's experiences with recent requests for ADRs in January?

I guess it would depend on when in January you are thinking about going. I made ours last week for our Jan 18-28th trip. The only one I had an issue with was Le Cellier. Everything else was available within about 10 minutes of the time I was shooting for.

We are going the last week of Jan. too and no problem getting TS ressies. We went Jan. 2007 last minute and booked ADR's at all places we wanted to go 1 week in advance.

This trip we even booked CRT breakfast yesterday!

I called last week to change a bunch of my ADRs around and got everthing I wanted.

I'd say call and if you don't get what you want call again a day or two later -- things have a way of mysteriously opening up!

We're going on the deluxe plan Jan 16-27, so we had a lot of ADRs to make and I've made more than a few changes. So far, no availability issues whatsoever. I made my initial round of ADRs at about 175 out and got everything I wanted, and have made a few rounds of changes since then, most recently when the P&PP dates were announced, without issue.

We have been the past couple of years in Jan and only had problem getting into the HDR @ Fort Wilderness. This was because we wanted the early show. If you are flexible with your dinner time I don't think you'll have a problem.

I think it depends on how many are in your party. We are a family of five and had to reserve two tables at two different restaurants for the end of Jan.

We just decided last week to go the last week of jan. Granted I didn't try for some real tougies, but I got everything I wanted when i wanted them:
Storybook Breakfast, Crystal Palace Breakfast, Tokyko Dining Dinner, Boma, Hollywood and Vine (wow looking at this, i have a lot of character meals booked!).

DF and I made our ADR's right at the 180 mark (well actually our TA made them). Then we had MAJOR issues with TA and canceled with her. Called Disney and booked another package directly with them. TA threatened to cancel ADR's since we canceled package....So i called Disney Dining and re-booked all of our ADR's using DF's name instead of mine and a different phone number. Then the CM canceled the one's made by TA. We were able to change each one of them within 10-30 minutes of the original. I even snagged CRT - dinner and I wasn't originally booked for that. We'll be there 1/6-1/13.

This is very good to know. Thanks...now it is the decision to go based on can we really miss Splash Mountain??? (Since it is under renovation at the time.)

Before moving here, we use to vacation here in January for the WDW marathon. The weather could be in the 70's, or downright cold. Some times we passed on KRR and/or Splash Mtn if it was on the chillier side that day.
We have noticed the water splash is less on colder days. But getting wet is a hit or miss.
ADRs should be easier to get in January. The excepition may be marathon and MLK weekends But even that should be better than it was during free dining time.
