So for those of you who are married how did you and your DH meet?? I just recently had a 4 1/2 year very serious relationship end, and I often find myself wondering if I'll ever find the right guy for me  So was it work, through friends, random meeting at the grocery store....how did it happen??? :listen:

I met my dh through a good friend. They worked at the same radio station and I came in to bring her boss a cake for his birthday and I was introduced to my dh. She said he'd been asking about me so she invited him along to a concert we were going too and we really hit it off.

Well, since you asked. :) I met my DH online back in '98. It was a dare from a coworker who had seen "Love at AOL". I did it as a joke and met my soul mate. We moved in together after 3 months and married the following year. I've never been happier.
I met my first husband at work, we never lived together, dated for 5 years and I was miserable before the honeymoon was over.
Good luck to you and your seach. When you find the right one, its worth the wait and wading through all the "not right ones".

We work together. The funniest part is - we originally started out really disliking each other, and the more time we spent together, the more fun we had. Wierd, but true...

When I was in college I used to wonder when and where I'd meet him. Turns out I knew him all along! I had a crush on him in high school. We actually dated for a few weeks in HS. Almost 10 years later we ran into each other in another city and have been together since then!

I dont have a husband, I like women

Way back when, dh and I were both volunteer firemen. We met taking our first training class. We became real good friends. We started dating during our 3rd class-6months after we first met and got engaged 6 weeks later. We have been married for almost 17 years (9/9/89).

DH and I worked at the same place in totally different departments. I was married to my first husband at the time so for the first year or so, we were just friendly acquaintances. After my ex and I separated, another co-worker invited both dh and I to a dinner party and we hit it off and started dating a couple of weeks later.

:sunny: I met my DH of 43 yrs. at a dance. His cousin and I were good friends and introduced us. And the rest is history. Shirley

LadyDulcinia1 you will meet you sole mate one day.

My sister was dating his friend :) Saw him in a car and thought I would like to date him.... A few months later heard he was engaged :(
Several months after that, heard he wasn't engaged any more :sunny:
Started dating, broke up a couple of times, but got married eventually :goodvibes 27 years ago.

We took accordion lessons from the same teacher :teeth: He was 13 and I was 14.

We've been married 32 years. Isn't it romantic?

Met in grade school.....dated in high school, on and off, but mostly on.
We got married 6 years after HS graduation. Been married 14 years. Known him more than half my life.

Dh and I met while working at Cedar Point :thumbsup2 Then we grew up got married and worked at Disney World :teeth:

dh and I worked together. I actually wrote him off when I first met him because I thought he was younger than he was (I knew his mother slightly and I thought she was younger than she was, and he looked pretty young at the time). But we always had a great time when we had a chance to talk, etc, and somehow or other I found out he was only a couple of years younger than me (I was 26 at the time, I thought he was 19 or so, but he was 23). After a couple of months he asked me out (apparently had wanted to for a while) and we've been together ever since. At first I still didn't know he was the one, but figured he'd be fun for right now, but soon enough I was deeply in love.

I met my DFi when I was working at our Town Hall. I was the tax clerk (18 at the time) and he came in one day to pay the taxes on his cars. He asked me out to lunch, but I wasn't too comfortable going in a car with someone I had just met. He kept asking, and I finally agreed, but I would meet him there.

We dated for 2 years, moved in together 5 years ago (7 years together in Oct.) and we are getting married in WDW in December.

As for meeting the perfect person, I have noticed that when you are "looking for Love", that is when you can't find it. Give yourself some time, and love will find you!!

Through friends but it is a really funny story.
I moved across the street from a little country store and became friends with the wife. She ran the store and her husband worked somewhere else.

DH was their milkman and became friends with the husband.
DH was over there one night looking at the husbands new computer (this was in 1988 so owning a PC wasn't that common back then)
I had just broke up with my BF and came in to buy orange juice so I could make screwdrivers and get drunk.

They were out of orange juice and the owner told me if I wanted to complain that the delivery guy was in the apartment. So I went back there and fussed him out. He ended up giving me some he had in his car.

The next morning day I told the owner that I thought DH was cute. That night when I stopped by on the way home from work DH was there again (turns out the friends husband made sure DH hung around until I got there then pushed him out of the apartment and locked the door).

We've been together ever since.

I met DH when we were both taking a night course in college. He asked me to teach him how to use his calculator and we started studying together for tests. We were great friends and he used to go to the bar with me when I was "on the prowl". Little did I know that the perfect guy was under my nose. We started dating after 6 months and were married 3 1/2 years later. We've now been married for 8 years, going on 9 in September

My friend talked me into going to a bar with her ,to hear a band she liked and Well I met the drummer and we dated for 6 months and was married and have been for almost 21 yrs now.
