How did you first hear of Michael Jackson's cardiac arrest/death?

I heard my son talking about it and thought nothing about it then I saw it on DIS.... I then turned it to cnn...

I just happened to log-in and read it right here. It was just as the news came in that he had suffered a cardiac arrest and was in UCLA Medical Centre, then I followed the updated news on newsites.

Later on, I watched the BBC live-feed until they announced he had "officially" died.

I logged in to check my email and it was listed on the homepage.

I was driving my 10 year old son to the doctor's office to see about a fever he had for 3 days. We heard on the car radio that MJ was in a coma. A few minutes later they said he was dead. At the doctor's office, all the nurses were gathered around the computer. They said a patient had just come in and told them the news.

BTW - my son is fine. No ear infection, lungs were clear. The fever is way down today! He should be fine for our Disneyland trip (leaving tomorrow).

I was at the ballfield waiting for DD's playoff game to begin. A grandparent of one of the players arrived and asked me if I'd heard that he died. Everyone at the ballfield was shocked at the news.

I was chatting with other users on a gaming site called Subeta. We were talking about Farrah Fawcett when someone said that MJ had died. I immediately began Googling and saw tmz. I turned on to MSNBC and saw the coma turn to death.

The Drudge Report. It was on there before it was confirmed anywhere else, I went to other sites to see what they said. One by one they all confirmed what I'd first seen on Drudge. I was so sad.

I turned on HLN to get news about Farrah Fawcett and they had just announced Michael Jackson was being rushed to the hospital. I kept it on and actually saw it on DIS first that he had passed away before HLN had updated. Mike Galanos was reporting.

On my way home from work, I turned over to the ABC News at 5 pm on the radio to hear about Farrah. They started with "Breaking News from Los Angeles" and I assumed it was about Farrah, but they reported that an ambulance had taken MJ to the hospital and the paramedics were performing CPR. I had to go to the store and when I got home I turned right to CNN and they were saying he was in a coma. Some sights online were saying he had died. So at 6:30 I turned to NBC Nightly News because I knew they would have the latest. First shot showed a pic of him and 1958-2009. So I knew then.
I heard about Farrah not long after they announced her death. Maybe around 1...I heard a coworker shout out that she was gone and I got online and saw that she had died.

we were swimming in the wave pool at Splashtown houston and they have a radio that they play on loud speakers and we heard while we were swimming. Everyone stopped for a second and were in shock. After awhile they just started play his songs one after another.

Well I sort of heard he had gone to the hospital while I was taking a nap. I was zonked out and he went to the hospital so often I didn't get up. MY DD turned the tv to another station, my DH was home and didn't wake me up and my best friend didn't call to tell them to wake me up either. I am a total news junkie so I feel like I missed half a moviej. I never switch the channel off fox and had my DD not have been off on summer vacation I could of rewound it.

My wife and I were together when I signed into the computer and saw the news alert on my home page. The story was that he had a heart attack, was in a coma and his family was going to the hospital. We both recognized that this is famous-code for 'dead'.
