How crowded is President's week?

For anyone who has gone during the President's week. Is it crowded, and how crowded, compared to Christmas or Easter.

We went President's Week 2 years ago. It was crowded, but not Christmas week or summertime crowded. From what I can remember, most big rides had waits of 45 minutes to an hour, we usually go to the parks when they first open and stay until early afternoon, leave for a couple of hours and come back in the evening. This way, we would do all the big rides when we got there with little wait and then as people were coming in and hitting the big attractions, we rode the smaller rides.

One thing to remember is that the weather will be cool, take jackets and pants and sweatshirts and you should be fine. The cooler weather also helps the crowds not seem to be so heavy, standing in line for 50 minutes is much different when it's 60 degrees compared to 95!

If you can swing going down a week earlier (we did this last year), the crowds are much, much lighter--I'm pretty sure we walked on every ride.

Hope that helps!

Good to hear; that's what we're doing for next week: 9th - 15th. I'm curious though... was Thurs-Saturday (the weekend before presidents week) also low crowds?

The weekend preceding President'a Day is always crowded - especially at the MK. Try avoiding the MK on Sunday and Monday- there are other parks lke AK which are much less crowded. Since we teach, we only have this week off and have learned tips over the years to make it more enjoyable. Have a great time! :teacher:

We were in WDW during MLK weekend. Didn't find it too crowded and whizzed through the lines pretty fast (20 minutes). We even got a free fastpass from a CM in MGM for Millionaire. The waits at MK (Thunder Mountain, 15 minutes and Haunted Mansion, 3 minutes). I'm hoping for the same during President's Weekend.

To all who are going...Have a wonderful time! See ya there! :wave2:
