How Cool is This? I'm DISing from MK!

How cool is this. I wish you could give us a live video feed. I guess if you did that I wouldn't have to do to Disney. We could just sit at computer and take a live tour with somebody there.

Jennifer -I'll PM you about FFAD when I get home. I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

Steph - I've seen trip reports like that before! They are always fun to read.

I had a great time tonight talking to my oldest daughter on the phone while she read this thread. Hi, bunna!! We have had many wonderful trips to Disney, haven't we? I can't wait until we can go together again!!

Tonight is back to the resort for an early night. I don't know if I'll spend the whole day tomorrow at MGM or not, but I know it will be a fun day!!

Good morning, all! A quiet morning at OKW doing laundry and catching up on some paperwork before I move to SSR. I'll be heading to MGM for lunch - can't wait for a chocolate shake at Sci Fi!

I'm having that shake right now. I love the Sci Fi - such a fun atmosphere and great cheesy movie clips. Today I'm going to see the Muppets, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the parade and some shopping. I'll check in later!

Farewell, race of love starved maidens!Let's go see some Muppets!

The Muppets were fun as always! Now to find a shady spot for the parade - I think the MGM afternoon parade is new, isn't it? I seem to remember reading something about it. I'm a big parade fan!

Today I'm going . . . shopping. I'll check in later!

Oh, sweet! Are you bringing us all a souvie from WDW? I'll be sure to PM you with my home address so you will know where to send mine!

Now go get a great parade spot, my dear. And don't sit in any gum or ice cream. :scared1:

I am having such a great time reading this thread. I can't wait to get there. I hope the weather holds out. How are the crowds today?

Whew! I was afraid I was beginning to talk to myself! Still, 4000 views and I know not all of them are me, so SOMEBODY must be reading.

The weather is lovely again today, with traces of an actual cool breeze every so often. I have scored a shady bench spot and have 20 minutes until the parade.

I just saw a great T-shirt - a tough guy with big muscles had on a brown shirt that said, "Peeps in the hood" and there were 4 yellow marshmallow peeps on the front. Ha!!

I shopped for my daughter's boyfriend at the Star Wars gift shop, for some stocking stuffers. Honey, if you are reading this, do you think he would like an autographed picture of Darth Vader? Only 95 bucks!

For $95 I would insist that Darth Vader himself came with it!

Oh, I've seen this parade before. I especially like Hades and the villians. But it has some nice classic characters in it.

Time for a snack - I found a shady spot to eat a Mickey bar. It was between that and the ice cream sandwich cookie, known in our family as a 520 for the number of calories in it. You'll be glad to know it only has 500 now. Practically a diet dessert...

Anyway, I found this shady spot but someone was SMOKING - gross. Oh, wait, everyone here is smoking. Hmmm, maybe because it's the SMOKING SECTION, dummy.

Anyone want to sit in the hot sun and wait for the High School Musical pep rally? Good, me neither. Instead , I'm going to go on TGMR again (third time but who's counting?) and then see Little Mermaid at 4:25pm. Then I'm going to indulge myself by going into One Man's Dream and looking at every artifact and reading every caption, just because I can. See you later!!

Not that I would, but I just want to point out that I could be sitting outside watching High School Musical while looking up Vanessa's nekkid pigs with my Iphone. Instead, I'm walking by Mary Poppins' horse and watching classic movie clips. Wonder how many people use their Iphones to watch porn ? Just a random thought I had..

I know it should be "pics" instead of "pigs." I left it in because I thought it was funny!

I wonder if anyone has ever done a Great Movie Ride movie marathon? Maybe I'll get to it this winter. Just in case, I'm making a list...

Footlight Parade, Singin' in the Rain, Mary Poppins, The Public Enemy, hmmm, a western - should it be The Seeker or any John Wayne picture? And should I add a Clint Eastwood western in there, too? Then, Alien, Raiders of the Lost Ark, a classic mummy picture - oh, wait, should I add "The Sixth Sense" now that the spiel includes " I see dead people"? What do you think?

Tarzan, of course, then Casablanca and a finish with Fantasia. I'd love to see a list of all the clips used in the ending montage, but I don't recognize them all. Maybe if I had a private ride and a CM sitting next to me...

Getting on the ride now...

Duh, I left out The Wizard of Oz. Now a mad dash, and I just made my FP for The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I remember the first time I saw this, and I have always loved it. It was the first time I' d been on a ride of any kind with special effects. I still think it's charming when the water begins...

I have been reading this since Day Uno I love it, thank you for sharing. I have laughed through most of it. THANK YOU.

If you break them in half, the calories fall out (that's my story and I am sticking to it!). :rolleyes1

Ah, The Little Mermaid. It came out the year before my oldest daughter was old enough to go to a movie in a theatre, but it was our first Disney movie so I love it. I had a parent narrator next to me. You know, someone trying to talk their very young child out of being scared, using that bright, happy, fake voice while saying things like, "Look! There's Flounder! Isn't Flounder funny? You like Flounder, remember? Silly, silly Flounder!" Come to think of it, it's the exact same voice I use on my dog when someone is at the front door, when I am trying to let her know the person is a friend and she doesn't have to try to take a bite out of a leg.

Sometimes I find that VERY annoying, but today the child was very cute so I found it adorable. Wonder what that ays about me - I'm less tolerant if your child is ugly or has a runny nose?? How shallow me - and yet, how true.

I had to stop for some popcorn because a) there wasn't a line at the popcorn stand and b) it's a whole hour and 45 minute before I'm scheduled to eat a meal.

It doesn't seem terribly crowded today. Waits for TGMR have been around 20 minutes tie afternoon and Star Tours was 40 minutes at 3:00pm.
