First time visitor to Orlando here, going down for honeymoon in August. We're planning 6 days at Disney and 2 days at Universal. Just curious if the 2 parks are close enough to walk from one to another , or if we should plan on moving the car.

thanks!

Yes, the parks are close enough to walk. City Walk is in between them, but it's not a long walk at all. Actually, there is only one parking area that serves the whole complex.

Have fun!!

They are literally right next to each other. Well, not THAT literally. They're separated by NBA City and Hard Rock Cafe/Hard Rock Live. But you do park in the same parking garage.

That's what makes IOA/US so nice! :) You can "park-hop" and go back and forth from one to the other but merely walking (or running if you are hyper). If you walk around the park you may complain about the walk because you have to go back to Citywalk and cut in front of Hard Rock Cafe/Live and NBA City (I'm spoiled, I know). It's not bad at all though! NOTHING compared to the Disney parks!

I noticed that when US closed at 9pm many, many people walked over to get into IOA because it closed at 10pm and to go see the fireworks show there.

This year when fireworks occur, people with USF tickets can enter IOA after 9 pm for free.
