How can I burn an MP4 file to a DVD?

I use Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite to convert DVDs to
MP4 format so I can put them on out Ipods. These are DVDs that I have purchased for our use. I would like to be able to burn an extra copy back onto a DVD to keep in our van.

I can burn a copy of the file but it will not play in a DVD player. Is there software that will do this, preferably in one simple step? I don't mind buying the software.

I have Nero 8 and use the program Nero Vision to transcode and burn the file to DVD. Basically you need to properly format the file for play on a standard DVD player and just puting the MP4 on a disk won't do it. There are instructions here. The exact menu steps may be a bit different because the version in the example is older, but you should be able to figure it out.

Now, if you haven't gotten the DVD player yet you can jut get one that can play MP4 files natively. Almost all of them will do so now.

Thanks! I'll burn one and see if the van player will support MP4. Shows you how smart I am about technology, I thought MP4 only works for Ipods, etc.
