How Busy Is Early June?

We were thinking of not pulling our kids out of school for our next WDW trip. We have been there in late Sept. and mid May. Both nice, not so crowded times. How is the 2nd week in June in comparison to these times?

I have done the 2nd full week of June several times (usually leaving around the 10th) it was relatively crowded (30-60 min waits for big rides) but it was no where near as bad as August. I know as the days go on, it seemed to get more crowded, but it was still an enjoyable time. I haven't been eithe rof the times you have mentioned but I have been in early Oct and I will say there was a marked difference in the crowd levels... enough so for me to want to avoid summers all together. I think the closer you go to the beginning of June though the better :)

We will be there second week of June enjoying our honeymoon at Coronado Springs.
Glad to hear that crowds are not usually super heavy.
Helenabear we are neighbors. Have a great trip and let us know how things went

We're going at that same time and things seem quite booked up. For example, there are no rooms at all available at the Swan or the Dolphin for several nights in that time frame. There also seems to be limited availability at some of the hotels. I'm guessing that's an indication that the parks will be pretty crowded as well, but just a guess.

Degli, I will be there from the 10th to the 15th, I will let you know how it went. The beginning of Junecan not be as bad as later in the summer when more schools let out all over the country.

We'll be there 6/9 - 6/15. We'll be at OKW for the last 5 nights, but I just booked CSR yesterday for our first night and even got an AP discount.

There seemed to be a lot of availability, even with the AP rate. I checked and we could've have gotten ASSP, ASMO, YC, BC or OKW. Since those were all available, I imagine others were as well.

I'm hoping that means it won't be as crowded as it has been in years past when we went about this time.

I have been there 2 times, the first 2 weeks in June. I think the crowds are lighter in the first week, because some school are not let out yet. They start to pickup the second week, but still not to bad. I also will say I have not been to Disney since 911. Also, I find the weather to be nice in the mornings, not to hot.

Good day

I'm heading down in a week (Yaaaahooooo) for my ninth straight second-week of June visit. The crowds are noticable, but aren't obnoxious by any means. If you use "commando techniques," such as early mornings, heavy fast pass usage, etc, and are willing to simply walk away from a line or two (I've never ridden SM in June), you won't wait more than 15 to 20 minutes.

Gay Days are going on that week, which has an affect, mostly on PI and MK on Saturday night the 7th. There's always a lighter crowd the first week of June than the 2nd, but we're expecting the lighter crowd effect to continue a little, due to so many school districts going later into June here in the northeast.

All-in-all, I'd rather go in September, but it's mighty managable. Note, when people asks me what sticks out about June, the crowd's aren't what comes to mind first. It's the heat. Three solutions: drink water, drink water, and drink water.
