How bad is the ferry from Cozumel to the mainland????

What is there of interest to see on the Mainland? Had not even considered mainland, looked only at the island...any historical elements??

Tulum is one highlight a great historical site.

This was several years ago, and it was not DCL.
That ride was pretty bad, DH said I actually turned green LOL I didn't puke, though. The thing is, for our excursion, we then had to go on a long bus ride, so consider that if car sickness bothers people.
I only have moderate motion sickness, and I didn't take medicine (the band's don't work for me), so I'm not sure if I had taken something how it would have been
I would still do it again.

Yes these boats are very bad, there low in the water so feel and move with the waves a lot of them are fully enclosed. To avoid seasickness you need to see the horizon and get fresh air and not be enclosed. It's like riding Mission Space at Epcot and not focusing on the TV monitor there, you will get sick.
