Hello All

How are we all doing? Good weekends?

Ours was good, went out shopping for house stuffs. Wasn't that successful but was nice to get out and window shop. Baked some cookies on Sunday, didn't come out the way I wanted, but then I think that was down to the recipe not mentioning that a particular ingredient doesn't work well in the oven. Oh well.

On to more fun stuffs. The next update for Disneyland Paris

Monday 23rd January
Today was our first full day in the Disneyland Park. I woke up waaaay to early, think it was around 5-5:30am maybe After waiting for a decent time to start waking Dave up (6-6:30am ) we got ready and headed down to breakfast around 7:30am. It was still pitch black out and this was our view of the park from our table

We perused the buffet and chose some breakfast items. Be warned there are quite a few food pics here

Bellies full, we made our way back to our room to grab our things and make our way to the park. It was getting a little lighter, great time to start snapping away.

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel, as we were in the park in seconds! This was the scene that awaited us.

It looks so calm and peaceful

I'm good thanks - getting my life back on track and hoping to have some fun nights out in March as it's my birthday that month lol! It's good that the meds are making you feel better - hopefully you'll manage to shift that annoying cough soon as well.

They were baked beans, always a nice accompaniment to a hot breakfast

We loved how empty it was, wish WDW could be like this. But that will never happen.

The hotel is basically the entrance to the park, the turnstiles are literally a 30 sec walk from the side door. If you stay Castle Club there is apparently a lift that takes you straight into the park no turnstiles, which is pretty cool

The breakfast buffet looks awesome! And I can't believe how empty the park is!! If I ever go there, I'll know what time of year to go! I love the castle in that park, it's so pretty! And Main Street is so cute, so familiar! It even has a Casey's Corner! Can't wait to read more!

Thanks It was so nice and quiet, didn't even need a touring plan as you could just go with the flow

We had Casey's for lunch one day and it wasn't bad, do miss the dining plan though and being able to pick candy floss as a dessert

How are we all doing? Good weekends?

Ours was good, went baking crazy on Saturday and made waaay too many cupcakes...

Then we went to view a house yesterday, I had already seen it Friday morning but I wanted Dave to see it too. We were going to say yes, but after thinking on it has said no as there are a few too many cons over pros for my liking.

Anywho, thought I would check and see how y'all are doing

We're hoping to do to DLRP at the beginning of December but haven't decided where to stay - maybe Sequoia Lodge as stayed at Newport Bay last time. We'll check out prices nearer the time!!

Those cupcakes are amazing!! The decorations are fab!!

Hope the house search continues ok and I'm sure the right house is just around the corner!!

Thanks I love making rope drop, like you say the feeling of being there early before anyone else and being able to enjoy it that little bit more

Thanks They went down a treat at work, I gave one to my bosses wife who's a chef/baker and apart from one small critic she loved them, she even asked for more Baking is fun, I find that I enjoy making them more than eating them I have no decorating skills, am still learning but like they say practise makes perfect so get practising

You should so stay at DLH, is such a gorgeous hotel. I loved walking into the lobby as you were always greeted by the smell of sweet talc or something Laura Ashley ish

I think the DLH is the only one with cooked breakfast. We stayed at NPB on our last trip and as much as there was tons of food, the variety really lacked.

The Sequoia Lodge looks beautiful, what about Hotel NY?

Hope you are all good and survived the Monday back to work

So after posting yesterday I was meant to post an update to follow, but somehow I got distracted by an online sale So I apologise for that and to make up for it, am going to do an update right now

We left off with us arriving at the entrance to Sleeping Beauty Castle

What I love about Sleeping Beauty Castle is the fact that not only can you walk through it, but you can also go upstairs and explore inside and also outside along the turrets and walkways. Let me show me around

The detail is so amazing in here.

Inside it tells you the story of Sleeping Beauty in stain glass and it is beautiful with the colour and detail...
