How Are The Newly Weds Today? An Italian Wedding & Disneymoon Extravaganza! *UpDate*

:rotfl2: I cannot believe that you took that picture of the chicken! I have a photo of that (maybe the same) chicken as well. Only in mine it is INSIDE the cart! :rotfl2:

I love how empty the park is. And you are right, so much detail everywhere. Did you check out the graveyard behind Phantom Manor? Some of the tombs come to life!!!!!!

Did you ever ride Indy when it was still backwards? SOOOOO much fun!!! I loved going into the loop backwards. :thumbsup2
It's still a nice ride but so much more predictable going forward.

And I think BTMR is best at DLRP! Going underwater to pick up speed is so much fun!

YEAH, you are getting me excited! :lmao:

I am busily writing my trip report - 13 pages and I haven't even finished day 2! :scared:

It was nearly time for lunch, but we had just enough time to fit in a visit with...

Duffy!!!

So cute and a fun encounter, as Duffy and Mickey were having a whale of a time dancing and goofing around.

Bellies rumbling it was time for lunch. We headed over to Caseys for some grub and took it back to the room (the beauty of being right on top of the entrance).

I also managed to wrangle in a quick pitstop to the Confectioners to grab one of these babies (excuse the bite marks  )

Someone was clearly tired from our early morning in the park

Rested and ready to for the parade, we made our way back to the park. Look who we bumped into in the lobby...

We had time to ride for a few rides before the parade. First up was Peter Pan, as Dave really enjoyed the ride from the morning (this becomes a recurring theme throughout our trip). Then it was on to the manor, which was now back up and running now.

The queue area is pretty amazing as it is literally like you are on the grounds of the manor, there is even a "proper" family graveyard. Again, the WDW ride is one we prefer over this one as you have the jollity of the song at the end, here they have it, but its more sombre. Which I kinda get suits the theme, but there's nothing like bopping along to "Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialise" :teeth:

Then it was back to Big Thunder to use our hotel fast pass for the day.

It was nearing time for the parade, so we made our way over to Main Street to cop a spot on the sidewalk. It was a little chilly just sitting there, so I grabbed a hot chocolate to warm myself up.

Parade over we made our way back to our room. The downer to being there at that time of year was that the park closes at 6pm! So no Electrical Parade and nothing to do in the evening, unless you had dinner plans or money to burn. We ended up playing games on my iPad which was fun.

Dinner that night was at Inventions, which is a character buffet.

Goofy was there to greet us at the door.

One more character was out that night, Mulan, who was a very poor version I'm afraid to say, so much so she broke character and was talking to a family about what her job is like, what the staff quarters are like etc. I kept thinking, if this was Florida she would be gone before you could make rope drop! Oh and not to mention she never bothered coming over to our table.

Dinner overall was yummy, great selection kept us full, only downer was it was expensive meal!

Satisfyingly sated, we waddled back to our room and went to bed, ready for our day at the Studios.

I'll leave it here for tonight, hope you enjoyed the modo updates. Stay tuned for Day 3 :)

Lol really?!? Love it! Take a pic next trip, did you get any of his/her face? We so have to name it :teeth:

It was glorious having the park nearly empty, we accomplished so much and then some :teeth: We did visit the graveyard part of PM which is for later on in the trip :)

We did experience Indy when it went backwards years ago and I remember not liking it, think it was because I kept bashing my ears from side to side :(

Glad you are getting excited for your trip :) Not long now :)

Wow 13 pages already, must must catch up on it :)

Fantastic update Stefy! I'm really not sure why I haven't ever been to DLRP , it looks awesome!

I've been wanting to read your report for ages and I finally sat down tonight and did it, I'm so happy I did!

Your wedding was so beautiful, you were such a lovely bride. I'm literally on the verge of asking my boyfriend, 'When are we getting married!?'

Thanks for much for posting about your Paris trip. Financially a trip back to the World just isn't an option for me financially just now or in the near future so I've been seriously thinking about going to Paris. Especially since every two seconds I see the advert for the 20th anniversary! You've got me excited now, it looks great fun. What's the language barrier like?

Thanks :) Everyone, esp those in England or nearby, should visit DLRP at least once and right now they are doing some great offers for the 20th Anniversary Celebrations :)

Hi and :welcome: Thanks for reading along and for the lovely comments.

Lol, well you can always throw subtle hints at him, leave a wedding mag lying around, make small comments about locations etc

I would defo book for the 20th Anniversary as it looks like it is going to be spectacular. They are really going all out :)

Language barrier isn't that bad, there are some CM's that look a little blank when you talk to them, but the majority speak English :)

That's awesome that you got to ride Dumbo all by yourselves! We're not big Dumbo fans (mostly because of the typical 45 minute line), but each getting your own seat sounds great!

Has Dave ever gotten the sword to come up? I think it does sometimes, right? I've never tried it, but always want to. Ahead of our last 3 trips I've made a point to try it, but each time we forget. :headache:

I looked at all your pictures this morning before I left for work and they are amazing! I can't believe how empty the park is. Crazy! It is just a gorgeous park. Wow!

Dinner looks delish (or was that lunch - I forget? :rotfl:) Love your pink jacket.

Thanks for such an awesomely great update!

Wow, awesome updates and pictures! It looks like such a beautiful park! I noticed right away that their IASW looks a little prettier and brighter than WDW's version!

Characters just roam around the hotel there? Awesome! :yay:

OMG, I absolutely LOVE that Alice in Wonderland float in the parade! That is the cutest thing I've ever seen! :lovestruc

It was really cool having our own elephant to ourselves. Your best bet is to try Dumbo when its rope drop as whenever we do rope drop we get Fantasy Land done in about an hour and thats doing all the major attractions (apart from Dumbo).

Dave has never tried the sword in WDW, in fact this is his first sword experience. Shame it didn't come up, maybe next time :) Is defo one to try though, esp if the Photopass Photographer is there :)

This picture is soooo cute!!!

Thanks :)

I loved how empty it was :) You are referring to dinner, as lunch was hot dogs and fries :teeth: It was really good and there was lots of variety, also had a little bit of an pan asian twist to it too :)

Thanks, I was a little skeptical about getting a bright pink jacket, but I love it now. Its from Uniqlo :)

IASW is not only pretty, but so much more colourful. Not sure how it compares to Disneyland though as I have heard that one is pretty impressive :)

Yep characters can be found in the lobby or the "lobby" to the restaurants :)

The floats are pretty cool in the parade, Alice one was defo the most detailed :)

Loved all your pictures, especially the one with you on the Dumbo ride! Too cute!:good vibes

I like how empty the restaurant seemed, probably made for a very relaxing dinner....minus the poorly played Mulan, of course.:headache:

Can't wait to read more.popcorn::

Wow great updates!

So I headed over to youtube to try and find a video on Peter Pan from Disneyland Paris but there isn't a good one. I wanted to see how much better this one is than WDW. Guess i'll just have to make my way to Paris and check it out for myself!

My DH and I haven't EVER been on Dumbo either! With the hundreds of times we've been to Disneyland and the two times to WDW. I think it's because it's always busy and i'm worried that two adults won't be able to fit in one dumbo and don't want to get the evil stares if we have to take two. :lmao:

Love the character pics and the parade looks awesome! :thumbsup2

The dinner looks delish and you are right in that Tigger was very animated that evening!
