HI!

I was wondering how much the crowds have calmed down this week compared to last week. Does it seem empty or is the Marathon filling up already?

Thanks, Wendi
19 days to GF

I haven't been since December so I can't tell you about the crowds but I can bump this back to page one for you.

Hi Wendi,

We just got back last night from our trip and the parks have thinned out quite a bit. It was very comfortable walking around and there were very low wait times for most of the attractions that we saw.

Tammi,

We will be at the GF in 16 days so please tell me all. Is there anything new going on? How was the service? I wish I was staying RPC, but I do Love this resort.

Thanks, Wendi

Hi Wendi,

The resort was just as beautiful as always. I didn't notice anything different going on there. The quiet pool and hot tub were open all the time and the theme pool still opened up at 10am and was closed at dusk. I enjoyed the spa again this trip and we ate lunch a few times at the Cafe and dinner one night at Narcoosee's. It's our favorite resort too.

Tammi,

Thanks for getting back with me so quick. I have already made my PS for Narcoosee's for my birthday and have plans to go to the cafe as well as California Grill. I would absolutely die if I ever got upgraded to RPC! We have 2 lagoon view rooms reserved, so we have requested dormer rooms on the top floor of Boca Chica.

Thanks again,
Wendi

Wendi,

RPC is very nice and I hope you get a chance to experience it someday. Unfortunately, if you do happen to be offered an upgrade to concierge it will be to the Sugar Loaf lodge. It's basically the same as the other buildings, but the entrance way contains food and concierge services. There are no views of the castle from this building though. We were lucky enough to get one of the best rooms in the main building. When you are looking at it from the theme pool, look up to the top floor on the right and the octogon shaped room with all the windows. That's where we stayed. We had a panoramic view from the wedding pavillion all the way over to the castle.

One of our nights, we ate at Narcoosee's and the food was very good. Both my husband and I had the filet mignon. I have to say though that it was very noisy and not quite what I had expected. When we were first seated, there was a family at the table behind us and their young son kept climbing over the back of the seats at our own table. I couldn't believe it. I simply nodded my head at the host and he promptly moved us to another spot in the restaurant. I wasn't too keen on the menu at Citrico's, but maybe next time we'll try that instead. Another option for your birthday dinner is private dining. There are little nooks and balconies around the Grand Floridian that they can set up and serve you dinner in private. Prices vary depending on how many people and what you choose for dinner, but that would be very memorable.
