Wendi,
RPC is very nice and I hope you get a chance to experience it someday. Unfortunately, if you do happen to be offered an upgrade to concierge it will be to the Sugar Loaf lodge. It's basically the same as the other buildings, but the entrance way contains food and concierge services. There are no views of the castle from this building though. We were lucky enough to get one of the best rooms in the main building. When you are looking at it from the theme pool, look up to the top floor on the right and the octogon shaped room with all the windows. That's where we stayed. We had a panoramic view from the wedding pavillion all the way over to the castle.
One of our nights, we ate at Narcoosee's and the food was very good. Both my husband and I had the filet mignon. I have to say though that it was very noisy and not quite what I had expected. When we were first seated, there was a family at the table behind us and their young son kept climbing over the back of the seats at our own table. I couldn't believe it. I simply nodded my head at the host and he promptly moved us to another spot in the restaurant. I wasn't too keen on the menu at Citrico's, but maybe next time we'll try that instead. Another option for your birthday dinner is private dining. There are little nooks and balconies around the Grand Floridian that they can set up and serve you dinner in private. Prices vary depending on how many people and what you choose for dinner, but that would be very memorable.
