How about MAY 2011

Well, we decided and got our dates officially changed. Now the plan is to arrive on May 29 and leave on Jun 9. So we will not see the Flower and Garden Festival, but my daughter was interested in Star Wars weekend now we will be there for that. I personally did not care one way or the other as I am not a Sci Fi Fan, but will find some of it interesting. Then of course there is the first week of June with Gay Days, I am guessing larger crowds for that, but since we have done the week between Christmas and New Years, and last Sept free dining both with rather large crowds, well I think we can handle the crowds.

I may have questions in the future about Star Wars weekends tho.

But I couldn't resist the lure of free dining! So, we are staying at CSR May 27-June 5th, 2011. We are big Star Wars fans, so we're stoked about SWW and the re-opening of the Star Wars ride. I've been during super-busy times before (spring break 2010 during 4 for 3 promo--huge crowds!), so I'm fine with large crowds. Can't wait!

we will be at POFQ May 28-June 11,see you there

We are canceling our March trip and changing it to late May/early June for the free dining. Our dates will be May 27-June 4 at POP. Need to change my countdown.

Just booked my trip for May 2011!

Going May 3 through the 10.

Staying at the ASMu.

I am super excited about going again. OK it's not until May 27- JUne 1st, but it's still on the books. We even stumbled on a great airfare which surprised me this far out.

This will be my first time going in May and I'm worried about the crowds. Obviously I liked saving money on free dinning more than short lines. My wife and kids all have to finish school so going earlier like we usually do in January is not possible.

How bad will it be? The boys want to see Star Wars weekend so I know we will be stuck in HS crowds at some point. Will it calm down some on Monday (Memorial day) or not? What park is our best bet for avoiding heavy crowds on the weekend?

Thanks, excited but nervous.

I've been Memorial Week before--I found it crowded but manageable. The weather was perfect for me; hot but not too hot and humid. However, I don't think Disney has ever offered free dining during the holiday before, so I would predict it will be more crowded than usual. That being said, we're going to brave the crowds. I couldn't resist free dining! As long as you have a plan (i.e., make your dinner ressies in late November!) and don't let the crowds get you down, you should have a great time. :)

See you there!! I switched from ASmo to POP!! WE are staying from May 27th-June 2nd for free dining as well:cool1::thumbsup2

Our family of five will arrive at our Family Suite at All Stars Music on 5/27/11 and stay for nine nights! :goodvibes We upgraded from free quick service dining plan to the regular dining plan and purchased 7 day park hopper plus waterpark and more tickets. We love the planning part almost as much as the vacation so happy we have concrete dates now.

Happy planning to all!

I simply am going to have to make something to hang in the window for all the DIS members out there. There are so many of them and others I know from other areas of my life, I can not keep up with it all.

This should be such fun, I think I will make a DIS pin to wear around the parks too, so if you see me, say HI!

Does anyone know about the crowd levels during "gay days"? I just seen that its from May 23rd-June 6th and just wondering

The event didn't affect us when we visited in 2007. Just like with any planned group event, I just avoided the "park of the day" listed on the group's website. Have a great trip!

Our trip is booked for the beginning of May (1-9) and I think we are going to stick with that and hope for some kind of deal.

Just cannot wait!!

We're in - grand villa at AKV for May 27-June 4. We will have 14! Us (DH and me) Kids, grandkids, and niece. We had to add a Studio for the extra 2 people. I am anxious already about getting ADR's for that many with the added free dining. That makes it hard to get ADR's for big groups. I'll just have to be up at the crack of dawn at 180 days and be flexible. On with the planning!!!

We'll be there the 1st week of May. I thought it was weird that there were no specials that week. I figured this would be a good week. Kids in school, right after the Easter holdiday etc. Oh well, still looking forward to it anyway. We're in the WL. It's my first trip there ever, and my DS and DD 1st time too. DW has been there before.
