Another post made in fun, turned into a stabbing social statement...How in the world can you equate someone poking fun at the obvious disparity between travelers with and without children, and turn that into excluding people of different sexual orientations or races?
I'm sorry but that is pushing the edge of reason...I hope I never get that sensative about anything...We all like to go to WDW, right? Lets keep that in mind.
You are quite insightful, DepCor0311.

The OP *did* post this originally, in fun, and while she makes some valid points (not that I agree 100% with them), I'm surprised that some people have reacted so strongly.
Disney will never declare an "Adults Only Weekend". We all know that. But to be honest, a night like Grad Night might be a good idea! Imagine all the "mom's get-away weekend" ladies there! LOL Imagine the young adults who either don't have, or don't care for, kids there! The list goes on. lol I think it'd be sold out fairly quickly.
I don't understand why some people have gotten so defensive about the idea of a day at WDW without theirs and everyone else's kids. It was just a thought, a suggestion, a daydream!

There is no question whatsoever that any of us parents love our kids! That is not being questioned here.

This is not a "black or white" issue, there's all this gray area! I'd love to see these people in about 10 years and see if they've changed their minds at all.
We've cruised on the Disney Magic cruise ship and let me tell you, they've got the BEST adults-only areas (pools, lounges, coffee shops, computer areas, on-board activities, etc) and they enforce their policies in those areas very strictly! They realize that adults/parents need, want, and enjoy some time away from their kids once in a while.
P.S. Oh and those of us who don't think this is such a horrible idea *DO* love to travel with and go on vacation with, our kids!! This is something that would be IN ADDITION TO, all those family vacations.

Threads like this is the reason why I rarely go to the Community Board!
Jerseylicious: You are SUCH a rabble-rouser! I plan on staying far away from your threads and posts from now on!!!
