Alex,

Since in the past people were advised when their signatures were too big, couldn't the same thing be done to people who haven't gotten rid of their old html scripts. HTML has been turned off for weeks but some people still have the code in their signatures.

Yes, Please. This is soooo annoying! Thanks Alex!

Alex,
Were you a member under another name, before you became a WebMaster?

I mostly hang out on the community board and have seen the tag fairy at work here. Does the tag fairy work on the other boards as well?

When is MeanLaureen going to get a raise?

Oh shoot.. I thought I was under my alias Ummm.. nevermind

I just want to publically thank Alex for quoting the questions in his responses! I think it makes it a lot easier to get something from this thread! Yay Alex! (that is the one time this year I'll thank you ;)

We are going to be making major (MAJOR!!!!) changes in the entire signature process very shortly. Right now everything we do with signatures is entirely manual and hugely labor intensive. We tested some "automatic" systems, with some help from a lot of DIS'ers but we weren't overwhelmed with the results. I became aware that somebody was coming out with a much better system and the beta was just released 2 days ago. I am hoping to install it on a test board this weekend so we can try it out and see if it's an answer. Untill then we are trying not to waste a ton of manpower on signature stuff

Hi all, To Start... Thank you Alex and the rest of the Webmasters andWebmistresses and Moderators. On a bbbboard this size it really is a thankless task...

I am taking a break to get some sleep before rebuilding my Exchange Server. Some Low life hacked into my DSL modem and reset the settings. Next thing I knew, my Email server lost all of it's partition and would not let me reconstruct it.... Alex, I apreciate the sympathy. I had a good backup.... DW, well, she wanted to know why hers wasn't set that way....Ooops...

Speaking of E-Mail, The Site Sponsor e-mail is still dead...

This is a great thread and I commend you for it!!!!!

Thanks for all the work you all do. I know it isn't easy some days.
:mickeybar A Mickey Bar for each of you! Personally I think a Mickey Bar is better than a paycheck! :earboy2:

Great thread :cool1:

No questions to ask, but I've learnt a lot from reading the answers ;)

(Sorry, but this has been bothering me for awhile)
Alex, in your signature "No Tag, No Signature.....no Need......" why isn't the third "no" capitalized like the other two are? Just wondering. thanks!

One isn't just given the power to become a tag fairy.. it's a long drawn out mysterious and often painful process :)
