We are going to be making major (MAJOR!!!!) changes in the entire signature process very shortly.

That possibly answers my question before I even ask it. The question being will Sigs be limited in size as far as width? I hate scrolling down a thread and reading then having to stop and scroll to the right because someone has 3 pics side by side or they have a super long countdown.

They will be, not sure exactly what the limits are going to be yet but width will definitely be limited

When you click on any member's profile, there is a section called Group Memberships. To date, everyone I have clicked on says "XXXX is not a member of any public groups." What public groups are there and how does anyone become a member?

I have a question about the background styles available. I signed up during the holidays so I guess it keep that background as a default which is fine with me...keeps things festive! I've looked at the other styles available and found them a bit boring compared to the Happy Holidays style. So will more styles become available? Who creates them? The only other style I'll use on occasion is DIScreet while I'm at work.

That is another board feature that we don't use. We could create "groups" that people could join but for a board like ours it doesn't make much sense

Just double checking, Alex. When you type a word like Dick Van **** and the last word comes out as all asterisks, that's alright, isn't it? I can't get banned for that right? It's only when when we use letters and symbols to get around the filter that there is a problem?

You never know Dan but for now I think the 20 limit works for the vast majority of posters

Who decides the words that get blocked? Do you guys have a list of banned words? I know there are some words out there that I didn't even know I couldn't type until I looked at my post and they were asterisked. Is there a place to view banned words?

The webmasters decide. We add new words once in a while. There is no public place to see the list and I would have to ban myself if I posted it
