Houston we (might) have a problem!

Chris,

I just found your thread, since finishing my trip report this morning, I started working on all my "THANK YOU" cards after work today. I just finished printing them off, and took a few minutes break to check the boards.

I just shared with Hazel and Angelina about Nate. We stopped what we were doing right away, and sent some special prayers Heavenward for my "Little Buddy--Verandah Boy" tell Nate, that "Verandah Man" sends his best, and wishes him well.

We will keep all of you in our prayers these next few days, and your family will be added to our church's prayer list once again!!!

I'll be waiting to hear some "WONDERful and MAGICal" reports.

All Our Best,

The Walters' Family

Chris you are in our prayers and I just know Nate will be FINE!!!
BTW myself and DS have been treated by the ships doctor and the facility is great.. take care and no worries!!

Prayers are your as always. Let us know how it is going.

tell Little Mr. Verhandah Boy to get better real soon!! My daughter always gets sick right before a holiday or vacation... I don't know how she does it, but about a week before, she gets sick.. now it's a running joke, oh the holiday is coming, Jacqui is sick.

Lots of hugs & love to Nate and the rest of your family!

Hi Chris.

The down side is that my youngest son thinks all doctors should come to our house! So when I have to take him for a check up he thinks that "Doca Nikols" will be coming to see him too. He gets really upset when we go to the other doctor and have to sit in an exam room.

Perhaps the ship's doctor would favor Nate's younger brother with a "room service" call. It wouldn"t have to be for anything more than taking his bp and/or temperature. A humane gesture designed to give a tad of "equal time," if you will, to the other children directly effected by Nate's illness.

Just a thought...

Chris - you just take care of yourself and know that you are in God's hands.

Hugs,
Rae

Here's hoping Little Verandah Boy Nate will be feeling much better soon!

Chris - I've been saying prayers as I was scrolling through this thread and I do know the power of prayer. When my DD was born so premature, my mother started phoning all her friends...we had people praying and thinking about us in Europe, Canada and US! DD pulled through, but I know there was a higher force looking out for her and I know He is also looking out for your family. Have a wonderful family time on the cruise! Jo

Chris, more prayers from Ohio. Actually, I have a list that I keep prayering for from the boards as I'm sure most people here do as well. We'll just "kick it up a notch" to make sure he gets better.

I love the little brother story, very sweet!

Keep us up-dated.

Pagehouse,
I am also sending prayers your way.....and if anyone minds add one for me, I have surgery in the morning. And also found my BirthFamily today after 4 years of searching. I cant wait to hear your reports about Nates magical trip!
Aimee

"Nathan is on hospice, so he has his own nurse and doctor that come to the house. I love it. I never have to take him to a place that I know has sick people there like the regular doctors office."

I know how wonderful Hospice is. Until we used their services for my dad, I didn't know too much about Hospice, and now I'm one of their major cheerleaders. They were wonderful to my parents, and their home-based attention to my dad ensured that he was comfortable and relaxed at all times.

I absolutely will keep you in my prayers. I know you see Nate as such a blessing; your courage and your committment to him and to your family is an inspiration to us all. I hope your trip is wonderful, and that it is worry-free.

Brenda

Chris,

Nathan and your family are in my prayers and I am sending as much pixie dust as I can!! Have a wonderful trip!!

Trish

Amiee...pixie dust to you too!!! How wonderful you found your birth family!!The best of everything for you and yours!

Chris..I know about DNRs. Being a nurse, they sound so reasonable when your loved one is doing well. But we always want to squeeze a little more out of life. A VERY normal reaction. I went through it twice (with my parents)
Hang in there!{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Aimee- bless your heart! What a day you have had! I hope things went well with your birth family! You most certainly will be in my prayer for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. After all you must have a whole lot of catching up to do! I am so excited for you. (of course I mean about the family, NOT the surgery):jester:

Chris, Big hugs {{{{HUGS}}}} to you, Nate, and your Family.

You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Like Rae just said..."Know you're in God's hands"

Have a great cruise. We're looking forward to hearing all about it!! We'll be thinking of you guys!!

~Debbie~ Your disboard friend:)

Best wishes on Nate breathing better in time for the cruise. I'll be thinking of you until Fri. and hoping for the very best outcome. Take care.

LOTS of prayers and LOTS of pixie dust coming your way from Canada! You and your family are in my prayers continuously!

Here's to a magical vacation for ALL of you!
