This job needs a major bump in pay with every company across the country. $20 plus an hour maybe?
Please don't start the tipping debate again! I'm leaving the usual amount per day. If they don't clean, it's always still there for the next day. I leave a few dollars extra on check out day to compensate for our accumulated messon that note what are we tipping mousekeeping?

I don't think it has to do Covid it has to do with hiring more people. They recently did a job fair so hopefully they can fill more positions. If Disney is hollering Covid issues, then they must not give a crap about thier DCL crew. Guest are getting housekeeping on the ships.
It is due to staffing issues, for the moment. But I was thinking they were hollering Covid.I don't think it has to do Covid it has to do with hiring more people. They recently did a job fair so hopefully they can fill more positions.
DCL housekeeping is different. You pay tips upfront for housekeeping and wait staff...at least that is how we paid the gratuities. They are well paid!
It might also have to do with CDC requirements for cruise lines - CDC doesn't have the same control over hotels' housekeeping practices as they do over cruise lines. It is due to staffing issues, for the moment. But I was thinking they were hollering Covid.
If I am staying for 14 days surely they will change the sheets regularly.
