House cleaning before your WDW vacation....

OK, How any of you out there completly clean your house prior to leaving for a WDW vacation??
We usually clean the entire house a day before, so when we arrive back home the only wash we have to do is our vacation clothes and thats it. We can sit and relax without having to clean!

Always leave the house totally clean and not one piece of laundry. My grandmother is to blame, I can always hear her say "what if I die while I'm away if the house is not clean people will think I was a slob". Its dumb I know and even though she's been gone for many years its funny the things that stick with you.

The house is always cleaned before any vacation. All the laundry and dishes are washed and put away, floors cleaned, furniture dusted/polished, etc. I would hate to come home to a mess especially since I'll be bringing a bunch of dirty laundry home with me.

The house is cleaned and all laundry is done before vacation. I also try to stock up at the grocery store so that the only things we need are milk and bread when we get home.

By the time I get all of this done and pack, I need a vacation.

I always clean the whole house before going away. I wash all the floors, clean the bathroom, dust, vacuum and change all the beds and do all the laundry. I also do all the laundry before I come home so when I get home I have a clean house and no laundry to deal with.

Yes it is! A former coworker of mine used to say this exact thing. She cleaned EVERYTHING before she went away any where. Hmmm...I need to do this now, not because I'm going away on vacation, but because I want to put my house on the market in the next couple months and the realtor wants to come see it!! I need suggestions on sprucing up, repairs. Wish me luck!!

I have done this the last few times we went in the summer. The house is spotless and we do our laundry at our DVC resort, so when I get home I have almost nothing to do. This last time, we didn't stay DVC and we left day after Christmas, so I spent the day after we returned taking down my trees! That was stressful.

I'm always kind of bummed when I come home from vacation (especially if I have been at DW). If I come home and my house is clean, I don't feel quite so bad.

I have to have all the sheets changed, floors cleaned and laundry done! There can't be anything left on my counters or tables. The house my be spotless!!!

I just love coming home from my 2 weeks at OKW in the summer with all my laundry (from vacation) cleaned and ready to go into the drawers!! I love coming home to a clean house............this way I can relax and let the reality set in that my hectic lifestyle is about to begin again.............

I never go away on ANY vacation, even for a weekend, without the house being *spotless*. I love coming back home to a nice clean house. It's very relaxing to just walk in and only have to empty the suitcases.

I clean my house from top to bottom before we leave. I do all the laundry, take out the trash. I also do laundry 2 days before we come home so I only have very little to do when we get there.

It's kind of funny that I don't really care about the state of the house if I am going to be home.
But if I am going on vacation, I want it all clean and neat and tidy before I leave.
There is something about coming home to a clean house.
Too bad I can't learn to say there is something about living in a clean house

I am absolutely guilty of this one before I leave for most any trip or more than two days.

Total top to bottom cleaning including all laundry folded and put away, all the dishes out of the dishwasher and put away, complete vacuuming, dusting, kitchen and bathroom cleaning and of course making the bed before I leave.

We used to do this as a family when I was a kid and this practice definately stuck with me. IT just nice to come home to a spotless house..

Yep, me too, same reason. And if our grandmothers could look at the chaos of the world today, wouldn't they be proud of us

I had no idea everyone else did this too! It took just one vacation, coming home to a dirty house to learn my lesson! I suppose I could have learned it from my mom, but she's always cleaning, so it was no different than any other day seeing her cleaning, lol!
