Hours for TTC

Hi,
been to WDW alot but never use the TTC..this time i will need to use it...we are going to eat at Kona one evening so i will need to get back to BW

my question is, i will take the monarail to the TTC, but how long is that open till. Does it depend on the hours of the parks, or is it open longer...

we are eating at like 8:00, and mk close that night about that time..so i don't think we will make it back to MK to take the bus back to BW.

also, i need to get to the wide world of sports complex. I know there are no buses from the resort, but can i get there from the TTC

You will find that the monorail will stop running about an hour after MK closes. So, if the MK is closed, you will have to get to BW from the Polynesian directly. That would mean...1. finding a park that is open and transferring to BW from there, or 2. going to DTD, from the Polynesian, and transferring to the BW there. or 3. just take a cab directly.

For transport to Wide World of Sports...can't help with that. A cab from BW would probably be your best bet...it should be fairly cheap since it's not that far away.

so i am guessing the TTC closes also 1 hour after mk?
we could walk there from the poly, wouldn't really need the monarail.
so if TTC was open longer we could do that.

I have never been wide world of sports, but my daughter for the first time is going to do one of the races at epcot on Friday Jan. 10
and i think somewhere i read that we needed to go to the wide world of sports on Thursday to get our info and number...not sure i understand that, to me that would be a pain to go there just to get your info.

the race is at epcot early on friday morning..

can anyone else help with this?

As far as I recall even if the TTC was open, there are no buses between the TTC and BW (or any other resort except SOG). You would need to go from the Poly to MK and get the BW bus there (if MK transportation is still running).

There is no direct transportation between TTC and any resorts, other than those on the monorail loop. As Miss Goofy said, you will need to go either to an open park or to DTD, and transfer there.

As you are staying at BW, Epcot is not an option for transfer, as there is no transportation from the Epcot monorail station to BW -- unless the park is still open, you have admission to Epcot that day, and you want to walk thru the park to the rear gate.

If monorail, boat, and bus transportation for MK has ended for the night, your only Disney transport options will be DTD, or DHS if it's still open. You can get a bus to either from Poly.

On the big marathon weekend, bus transportation is provided from all Disney resorts to EWWS and the race locations by chartered buses. See the official race webpage, scroll down and click on the PLAN tab for details. Pickup at BW is usually in front of their convention center, but check with hotel lobby cast to make sure.

I have been to wdw more that 30 times, and never used the TTC..I thought the buses there also went to resorts..learn something new everyday.

Yes we are staying at the BWV. So I guess I will check times for epcot, and take poly bus to the front of epcot and walk back, or get a cab.

Maybe even make my reservation a little earlier and just go back to MK and get on the bus.

I'm sorry, I made the assumption that you most likely understood how the TTC works....bad me!!!
You would be surprised how many frequent travelers to WDW don't have a clue how TTC works, or what it is used for. Don't feel bad!!!

Unless Epcot's in EMH, it'll be the monorail. You can walk from Poly to TTC to get the monorail.

The race is in epcot so we will be right there.

You might have to take the bus if the race is before Epcot opens. Check with the race cast when you pick up the packet on Thursday.

The MK parking lot is open all night.

Monorail service to the MK & resorts usually starts at 7 a.m., and runs until 1 hour after both MK & Epcot close (excluding EMH.) Epcot monorail service starts at 8 a.m. and runs until at least 1 hour after Epcot closes.
