I've never used Hotwire before, but am tempted to this time.

We have a late-night arrival into MCO & want to stay at the Hyatt MCO. Hotwire has a "4-star hotel in Orlando Intl Airport MCO" for only $96 for that night(June 14). That's quite a savings (if this is indeed the Hyatt) over the Hyatt.com rate.
Do any of you Hotwire veterans know if this is the Hyatt MCO or could it possibly be a near-by property? We would really rather stay at the Hyatt.

Thanks in advance,
agnes!

UPDATE:

Well, I ended up calling the MCO Hyatt directly. (And how ODD, it was answered by an actual PERSON not a recording/system  !) Asked them about doscounted room rates & was offered a AAA discount (not offered on the website)that will save us over $30 for the night (spending about $170 including taxes instead of $200+ including taxes!)

So, when dealing with a chain hotel, try calling the hotel/resort directly, instead of always calling the central reservations #. You might be pleasantly surprised!

If you check betterbidding.com and the ammentaties check out then it probably is. I dont think there is a way to know 100% which hotel you are getting but they do get pretty close. Take a look around there and see what they have to say.

Sometimes if you click "continue" as if you're going to buy it, then scroll all the way down to the bottom, it will list the ratings by Tripadvisor.com. The Hyatt is 4.5 out of a possible 5 with over 90 reviews. There's another hotel with the exact same list of amenities but only reviews something like a 3.5/5 and not nearly as many reviews. (I believe that's the Renaissance. Double check with betterbidding.com)
I also used the help of betterbidding.com to get the Hyatt. Be sure to read their "Hotwire hotel list" before posting a question. It will usually answer your question.
With their help, we got the Hyatt for $59 + tax last Sept. We loved it so much, we booked it 2 more times directly.
Good luck! :goodvibes

ETA: I just checked the betterbidding.com hotel list for Orlando-MCO. The Hyatt and Renaissance are an exact match so I would definitely check the TA ratings if listed. Don't buy it unless you'd be ok with the Renaissance too, esp. if ratings are 3.5. The only reason their ratings are so low is that it was pretty old and run down and quite a mess during renovations last year but I think they are done now. You could always call them directly first to make sure it's all done if you don't want to deal w/construction dirt/noise. Usually anything from Marriott is decent so it's still a great price but if you positively must have Hyatt MCO, book direct.

We're getting in rather late & were thinking that it would be nice to just walk off the plane, up to the Hyatt, crash for the night and then get our rental car in the morning. I really don't want to get something other than the Hyatt/MCO and then have to deal with a late-night hotel shuttle and *then* having to get to the National MCO location in the morning.

If we keep our WDW hotel & all our present arrangements (including our National car) we won't get to that hotel until probably after 12:30am with getting into the room sometimne around 1am...ack.
I'd rather be sleeping.

I just hate to book direct, the Hotwire 4-star is so much cheaper, but...oh well. I might try the strategy you suggest.
