My dd and I are going down 9/8 for a few days and I was looking at Hotwire for car rentals...I can get one for $94 total and it says "In Terminal". Does anyone have any experience with this, and also, if I wait a few more days does the price get better? I am looking at 9/8 - 9/12 Economy (big enough for the two of us)..picking up 8:45 or so and dropping off around 5:15, 5:30...

I haven't used Hotwire, but I always look at them before making a Priceline bid for a car rental. You can normally beat a Hotwire Hot Rate with a lower Priceline bid. A bid of $10/day or possibly even less might get you the same compact car through Priceline for an overall savings of at least $20. You have plenty of days to play around with bids. If you bid $8 day today and get turned down, try $9 tomorrow. There might not be a price difference between compact and economy, so you can try bidding both.

I am afraid to go through priceline bc I want to rent in the Terminal..I did the shuttle thing once and will not do it again...what companies go through priceline?

Priceline lists the vendors they work with; Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National. All of these are in terminal. The only exception was Hertz (which was actually not that bad because you didn't have to deal with all the traffic out of the garages), but they moved back to the airport about 3 months ago.
