Hotel with indoor water park

I was talking with my SIL the other day and she told me that her stepson took his family to WDW and stayed at a monorail hotel that had an indoor water park in it. Now I know that it's been five years since I've been to WDW but I don't think that they have anything like that. I've not even sure that they even have an indoor pool anywhere in WDW.

So, tell me, have I been away too long or is it that my SIL doesn't know what she's talking about?

The only indoor Disney pools that I know of are in Paris. The Yacht/Beach Clubs have a water park, but it is outdoors.

That's what I thought but I knew that I'd never win that argument. Sometimes you just have to keep your mouth shut even though you know you are right.

I DID exist...they built it right before she showed up, but they didn't get the response to it that they wanted, so they tore it down and put gardens in. It was only a couple billion to build it, so no biggie to tear it down

Since when has Great Wolf Lodge been on the monorail???

But seriously, there are only 3 WDW resorts on the monorail ... Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. None of them has a water park either indoors or outdoors.

Well, here in the northeast we refer to that indoor pool as the "bath tub" and that water slide with the circular motion is the "toilet".

No, she is always talking about stuff that she has no clue about. It's just that it's been five years (gasp!) since we've been to WDW and even though I am a regular visitor on these boards, I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed anything.

Something along the same lines happened to me the other day at work. I was talking about how DH and I are going to wdw in December, and another co-worker piped up and started talking about how much she HATES wdw. Period. The conversation that followed was priceless...

Me: You hate Disney World?? Where did you stay?
Her: We stayed IN Disney World
Me: Ok... at what resort??
Her: The one that's actually inside Disney World...
Me: ???
Her: You know, the one that's near the castle.
Me: The Contemporary?
Her: No, the one that has that moving ramp that you get onto and it takes you up and out of the park and into the lobby.
Me: (eyebrows up, nods head) mmhm... (walks away)

How could people be that stupid to say things like this? Also, the comment about the monorail resort with an indoor water park! Americans are getting dumber and dumber. Meaner, too.

Perhaps they morphed WL into the Great Wolf Lodge in their mind. WL's water does start in the lobby and it is themed much like Great Wolf Lodge I believe. And although it is not on the monorail, it is considered an MK resort.

We just returned from 10 nights at WDW and a woman at work asked me what we found to do there for 10 days. I told her we had spent quite a bit of time at EPCOT and she said "Oh, you consider that part of Disney World?". She went on to say "I don't care for Disney World all that much since the kids are grown but I really do like MGM."
