I know this has nothing to do with WDW but this is one of the boards frequent most and I thought maybe I could some advice from some the locals.

In May, I will be driving to Oklahoma with DD & DS(alone!) to meet DH for our nephew's graduation. Its roughly a 27 hour drive and in the past we have stayed overnight in Cooksville but I would rather stay farther west, possibly Nashville. Somewhere clean, safe (big one!!), and not too expensive that isn't too far off of I-40. Thank you!!

And Merry Christmas!! :santa:

If your going to stop near the airport overnight and leave in the morning you will be cought in traffic as your going to have to go through Nashville.

If your able to get through Nashville before you stop you will be better off, there are motels on 40 at almost every exit, the most being at Dickson exit 127.

I would stop after Nashville if possible and before or at Jackson. Stopping before Jackson give you some time before you hit Memphis and rush hour.

Thank you Bob and Kathy! That was exactly what I was looking for! Is Jackson a safe area? Its gonna just be DD5, DS3 and me!

I have only been to Jackson once and it seemed to be ok, anywhere along there should be safe but just be aware of your surroundings.
