can anyone recommend a good hotel and parking package for manchester airport area........2 adults:bounce: and 1 child:Pinkbounc
thanks as always

Hi,

I would be interested in replies to this as well.

We stayed at the Brittania Airport hotel this year which I couldn't recommend.

We turned up and were asked to take our car to some off-site car-park. Instead we chose to use VIP parking (someone meets you at airport to park your car then brings it back when you arrive) which for £20 was excellent.

Airport was pretty run down and from what I understand the shuttle to the airport wasn't very convenient. It was also very noisy so we'll not be using them again next year.

I've heard the Crowne Plaza is decent.

Have always used Premier Parking....Its around the corner from T3 just Past the famous pub at the end of the runway.. You leave your car check in and they shuttle you back to the airport the shuttles run continuously unlike some other car parks around manchester even if your back at 4.00am in the morning.. The shuttle takes 3mins to get to t3 5 to t1 and 10 to t2... You dont have to park or find a space you leave your key and they secure park it in a compound for you and when your return its waiting near the check in area ready to go...Its cheaper to book online or at an agent than just turning up..

re stopping in comfort for cheap at the airport best bets are the bed and breakfasts in the town of Heald Green just 5 mins down the road from the airport..Its where most crew members stop and its cheap as chips..

I would recommend the Crowne Plaza at the airport which does a room and parking package. You park the car in the hotel car park and then hand the keys over to a member of staff after checking in. They have a courtesy minibus runing 24 hrs a day to take you to the teminal. Just let reception know you want to go and they call it up. It usually only takes minutes.

When you get back you use the courtesy phones in the arrivals area to call the hotel and they send the minibus for you and take you right back to your car.

The hotel is also very nice and I would recommend the chinese/thai/japanese restaurant - Sampans. Their crispy chilli beef is to die for!!

Hope this helps.

the Radisson SAS and bewleys both get very good revies also.

I think the Radisson you take your own car to the long stay car park, but i might be wrong, and the hotel is linked by walkways to each of the terminals.

bewleys works the same as the crowne plaza, with them taking your car off, and you getting a shuttle over to the terminal. However bewleys does work out a lot cheaper than the others, around £95.00 for a room and 15 days parking.

Im looking into it for next september. I really fancy the radisson with a runway view, but i think if you have a family of 4 you have to have two adjoining rooms which works out quite expensive.

We've stayed at both the Radisson SAS and the Hilton - both are highly recommended.
