Hopping from Pop Century to Art of Animation

My family and I are staying at Pop Century in a couple of weeks and we'd like to sneak over to Art of Animation. Are guests staying at Pop Century allowed to eat at Landscape of Flavors; and use the Big Blue Pool?

Yep, the pool at AoA is gated. You must have a Magic Band encoded with an AoA reservation to open the gate.

You may eat at the food court, use the arcade, shop in the gift shop, and roam the resort grounds. But no pool access.

we always stay at pop and walk across the bridge to eat at art of animation. you can also hop on the aoa bus if it comes first and just walk back to pop. as previous posters have said, you cannot use the pool at any resort other than the one you are staying at.

(except that POFQ and POR guests can use each others' pools, so it's not a totally crazy question about Pop and AOA)

We very often will eat at AoA while staying at POP. We enjoy the food there much better, and they have been serving on real plates with real silverware so it is a nice experience. You are free to walk all over and enjoy the wonderful imagineering, use the buses, eat & shop ............ but the pools are only for the guests staying there. They are not considered sister resorts.

The walk is very pleasant across the bridge. I find the food court at AofA to be less hectic than Pop. We also took the AofA bus back once or twice when it came first, then walked back to Pop.

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely use the AofA food court, stayed at AoA a couple of years ago and thought the food court is better than some of the moderate resort food courts, hint hint POR.

But you understand how a newbie would have a hard time understanding why Pop and AOA aren't sisters, when they are *right there*?

Pretty sure it took us a shorter time to go from POR from POFQ (vice versa) than it has to get from Pop to AOA!

Especially since originally what is now AoA was going to be PART of Pop Century!

yes you can! we did it almost every day and the walk wasn't too bad, it just depends on which building you are located in.
