Has anyone been to this ? have been looking through different shows for me, DH, DS (aged 12) and DS (aged 4) to go to when we go at Christmas :teeth: can anyone tell me the price and if it is worth the money, i have looked at the reviews and the majority of them is pretty good. We definately want to do a show of some sort which the kids would like, so any input from you guys would be appreciated. :smooth:

We went a couple of years ago, with DS who was then 10 - we all hated it. It was much too corny for us, very old time musical hall - we didn't find it at all funny. I know lots of other people enjoy it so it really depends of whether you like that sort of thing. Weren't too impressed with the food either.

We all loved Cirque de Soleil though - so much so that we've booked to do two Cirque shows in Vegas this year.

Thanks for your input, i'm not one for "CORNY" :sad2: i'll have to keep on looking, me and DH went to the Arabian Night show when we were on our honeymoon 8 yrs ago which we enjoyed but i was looking more for my 2 DS.

The ones which my DS enjoys are the murder mystery dinners (both the Grosvenor one and the Sleuths one). Also the magic dinner show at Wonderworks with all you can eat pizza.

It really depends - I like corny, so I loved Hoop De Doo.

If you went to WDW more than two years ago, you might remember a show in the Magic Kingdom called the Diamond Horseshoe Revue (before they closed it and turned it into a character meet and greet) - if you liked that then HDD is much in the same spirit but a lot longer (and with food).

I probably wouldn't go back to do it again as it is quite expensive and I guess it doesn't vary much from year to year, but both myself and my wife really enjoyed it.

We did HDD on New Year's Eve 2003 (DS10 and DD13) and had a good time. Yes, it is corny with lots of groan-making jokes and slapstick but we got into the spirit of the show and really enjoyed ourselves.

The cast work really hard but seem to have a great time themselves and this is infectious for the audience.

The rest of Disney is just suspending belief and going with the moment so do the same with this and you will have a great time.
